Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Marcus Daniell, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Michael Venus (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 15:01, 22 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion discussion about Lulu Sun

[edit]

Hello, Yetanotherkiwi, and welcome to Wikipedia. I edit here too, under the username BlueTurtles, and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, Lulu Sun, should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Lulu Sun.

You might like to note that such discussions usually run for seven days and are not ballot-polls. And, our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|BlueTurtles}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

(Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.)

{{Re|BlueTurtles}}

Hi BlueTurtles. I have noted your comments, and have looked at the reference pages for guidelines. Could you please advise why you think that this particular page should be deleted. You've written "...am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form." What changes do you believe need to be made to make it suitable (assuming that you have something in mind other than the notability guidelines)?

I concede that, as yet, Lulu Sun doesn't exactly fulfil the criteria for tennis notability, but she has at least been a junior Grand Slam runner-up. She has also won multiple ITF 25K titles, and is this year's NCAA tennis doubles champion (although I haven't yet added those details into the article). These credentials far exceed many other tennis players who have articles about them in Wikipedia. It would seem pointless to delete this article, only to reinstate it in (for example) three months after she competes in a tournament that qualifies her under the notability guidelines (she has already played in two WTA 125K events). I would also point out that she has a page in the German Wikipedia which considerably predates the one I created in the English version. Yetanotherkiwi (talk) 07:28, 28 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of Lulu Sun for deletion

[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Lulu Sun, to which you have significantly contributed, is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or if it should be deleted.

The discussion will take place at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Lulu Sun until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article.

To customise your preferences for automated AfD notifications for articles to which you've significantly contributed (or to opt-out entirely), please visit the configuration page. Delivered by SDZeroBot (talk) 01:02, 26 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
