[edit]Hi YellowMonkey. User:Alison told me to ask you for help:
Hazaraboys (talk · contribs) and Hazaraboyz (talk · contribs) are both the same person, both accounts are being used at the same time, both accounts are adding nationalist and unencyclopedic POV (see this comment by another user). He may also be identical with Time Buddha (talk · contribs). In the past weeks and days, this user has progressively destroyed the articles Hazara people and Hazaragi, adding masses of unsourced and partially ethno-nationalistic POV, totally ignoring the excellent reference works in the Encyclopaedia of Islam and Encyclopaedia Iranica. And for this, he gives himself an award. For the time being, I am not reverting his POV. But I have tagged the respective articles (which he reverted without any discussion). Your help is needed. Thank you. Tajik (talk) 15:41, 28 September 2009 (UTC)

Your message at Wikipedia talk:Noticeboard for India-related topics
[edit]I have removed your message, as it's a strong WP:CANVASS violation. Regards, ƒ(Δ)² 09:09, 28 September 2009 (UTC)
- Canvassing, yes. But inappropriate no. The message was neutrally worded and on a talk page where it will attrct editors who know the candidate well. However, no worries about removing the notice. --RegentsPark (sticks and stones) 15:00, 28 September 2009 (UTC)
- I don't think "attracting editors who know the candidate well" was the intention here. It was on a page frequented by editors most likely to support. The immediate effects/results of the notice are pretty obvious too (as I noted on the RfA page). ƒ(Δ)² 17:34, 28 September 2009 (UTC)
- Despite the rather startling veiled accusation, I think it's an issue worth considering and discussing - see Wikipedia_talk:Noticeboard_for_India-related_topics#RFA_announcements. Ncmvocalist (talk) 18:11, 28 September 2009 (UTC)

- It won't matter, I think sometimes the WP:MHCOORD list RfAs on WT:MILHIST. As long as it isn't emotive or anything, nobody will care. I could just be hypocritical and secretly email people and then harp on about transparecny, but I think it's silly to do that. YellowMonkey (bananabucket) 07:34, 28 September 2009 (UTC)
Ujjain
[edit]Respected, I just wish to know, in article Ujjain, http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Ujjain&oldid=316619532 you removed categories,[[Category:Metro Cities of Madhya Pradesh/Chhattisgarh]] & [[Category:Major cities of Central India]] Reason: rm subjective and unnecessary cats, the 1m+ template is already there, spam,). But these both categories which had been removed are authentic in their way of action, as Ujjain is major cities of Central India, As well as we can say it a metro, but at the same time the above removed Categories are irrelevant, subjective and unnecessary & should be nominated for deletion.we have 2 options either to place these categories in all cities of Madhya Pradesh as per their relevance or just delete these categories. what should be done on this.? same is the case with http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Bhopal&oldid=316618835 .Also you stated"the 1m+ template is already there" but i am not able to find this 1m+ template.? Thanks. ( Abu Torsam 08:01, 28 September 2009 (UTC))
- "Major" and "metro" etc can be subjective, such as "superstar" "important" etc. Categories on WP avoid this subjectiveness YellowMonkey (bananabucket) 04:18, 29 September 2009 (UTC)

[edit]Can you tell if this User:Pahari Sahib is the same person as banned User:Siddiqui / User:Paknur? There level of English, editing style/behaviour, and area of editing is the same to me. He seems very Pakistani nationalist. This says Siddiqui/Paknur is operating from Montreal, Canada.--Kamran
- Nice try NisarKand "There level of English, editing style/behaviour, and area of editing is the same to me." How ironic, what could I about say about you're level of English? Champions Trophy
[edit]Have you seen the pitch a Johannesburg? Mark Waugh thinks Australia should declare at 70 and they'd still win. There's cracks everywhere and Paine and Ponting have been hit on the gloves about 10 times. Didn't know Kemar Roach bowled so fast (150+). Knocked Watson over with a big 145k in-swinging yorker first ball of the match. Stuart Clark reckons McGrath would bowl his 10 overs for less than 10 runs. Suppose it's the 9:30 start and the pitch has a tinge of greenness. Makes interesting cricket though. Aaroncrick (talk) 08:47, 26 September 2009 (UTC)
- I only saw news snippets but I guess Australia were lucky they weren't playing against a tall and somewhat competent quick like Ishant who could have exploited the bounce and stuffed them, if India batted first. Still, interesting RSA cracked again YellowMonkey (bananabucket) 01:25, 28 September 2009 (UTC)
- Pitch was alright in the afternoon, bizarre. Unfair really, anyway, are you still going to dabble with Ponting when you've finished with the Invincibles? I'm doing bit by bit. Easier to have the ODIs and Tests in the same section. Aaroncrick (talk) 04:07, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
- Yes. I don't thing having two chrono sequences for separate Tests and ODIs is good, especially as they used a combined team until late 1997. YellowMonkey (bananabucket) 01:25, 28 September 2009 (UTC)
- it's confusing for the reader, particular if they don't know cricket. Aus V Ind will be interesting; different J'burg pitch though. Anyhow, match starts at 2:30 Local time so all moisture will be out of the wickets, maybe some evening dew. Aaroncrick (talk) 05:53, 28 September 2009 (UTC)
- I think a two-part article will get opposed a lot. I know Yuvraj and Sehwag etc are like that and they were written in 2006 when I had no clue. Also sometimes guys get selected for Tests on the basis of ODI and vice versa, like Symonds making his debut and dropping Katich even though he made a century. I wonder why Dhoni didn't try Raina the other day when Yusuf and Harbhajan weren't on it. Raina was the most economical in teh SL triseries. I think you should start a PR instead of a GAN, which will take a long time in the queue. Also, you should ask them if they think the article is too detailed. I am a bit wary of copyediting and having some stuff deleted, as the preparation section and training is very long YellowMonkey (bananabucket) 06:02, 18 September 2009 (UTC)
- I already did a PR. One user told me the preparations and preceding sections needed trimming. If you can do that in addition to your copyedits, OK. Otherwise, just complete your ce, then I'll see to summarizing the article.
- P.S., forgive me for being so slow to respond. I am very busy now, which is another reason why I'm asking you to complete your ce before I turn to summarizing the article. Cheers.

User user:Dabamizan48 edits
[edit]Aye, one user caught my eye, namely user:Dabamizan48. His/her way of working closely resembles User:Ata Fida Aziz's (aka User:Paknur or user:Siddiqui) modus, fast and small edits, concentrating around Sindhi people and Pakistani issues, especially Pakistani family names. Also, <country>-Pakistani Relations pages seem to be of interest to him/her.
I've checked randomly some of his/hers contributions and I can't see any outright vandalism, though there are a few occurrences of removing Category:Pre-Islamic heritage of Pakistan, e.g. from Soomra Dynasty and occasional removal of word "caste" from Pakistani-related pages (e.g. Kunjra), which may not be a bad idea as such, but adheres to Ata Fida Aziz's edit style.
I might be barking at the wrong tree, but thought perhaps someone might want to check. Cheers, --Rayshade (talk) 22:40, 28 September 2009 (UTC)

Thankyou. Moved all the stats and tables on Ponting to List of Ricky Ponting's achievements and statistics. Needs a hell of a lot of work but anyway it's a start. Ponting already at 125 KB. Gilly is only 130 KB and is finished. Aaroncrick (talk) 06:19, 2 October 2009 (UTC)
- It's the readable prose that counts and because it is a modern player there aren't as many scholarly books out there yet, so lots of webpages are used, which take up heaps of space. Most books about contemporary are deliberately a bit drama-mongering or self-serving. Did you see MJ will Player of the Year. I guess the stats speak for themselves, but a lot of wickets of random wides or balls that don't do anything. Still I think they only go on stats, else how can a flat-track plunderer like Samaraweera who scores big centuries in dull draws get ahead of Sangakkara who can play properly when the rest are falling over and engineer a low-scoring win. And too batting heavy. Shakib, Johnson, Broad and Steyn as the last four....hmmm if this team played against an old-style patient team in a timeless Test we could be here about two weeks. YellowMonkey (bananabucket) 06:27, 2 October 2009 (UTC)
- Can't believe about Johnson winning! Also Guptill in ODI team was strange and Thilan Thushara as 12th man? I'd pick about 5 batsman ahead of Samaraweera. Johnson said, "It has been a great 12 months for our side." Come on... Great 12 months... Lost at home to SA and lost the Ashes Aaroncrick (talk) 06:37, 2 October 2009 (UTC)
- I would have picked Gambhir. Johnson didn't do great in India, in the toughest of conditions, actually he averaged about 37 and I can remember at least 4-5 of his 11 or so wickets coming from what would have been ODI wides. I guess Gambhir didn't help himself by getting suspended, he probably would have enjoyed Krejza in Nagpur and wouldn't have thrown his wicket away I guess. Gambhir didn't have great bowling to contend with but he did hit the ball in a proper manner, rather than a pile of slogs and inside edges. Wonder how Dar got ahead of Taufel. He's a very consistent and good umpire but he can be a bit liberal with some high lbws. Still, there is only one excellent and a few good umpires in international cricket. A lot of the Test ones are appalling nevermind the ODI only guys. I remember Bob Parry giving Mervyn Dillon lbw to Brett Lee when he jumped in the air and got hit on the thigh by a rising ball. It was already above the stumps and would've missed by 60cm at least. There was another incident in ING when Bollinger was on a hat-trick, left arm over to Callum Ferguson. It was a knee high full toss and Ferguson should've smacked it for four but probably thought it best to ignore the hat-trick ball. It hit him on the front foot, about 1m in front of the crease, already a legwidth outside off stump, and was given out when the angle would have taken it about four-six stumps wide. Still given the amount of feral people and pushy parents out there who threaten to punch officiators, who would want to volunteer at grassroots level to be an umpire. YellowMonkey (bananabucket) 06:53, 2 October 2009 (UTC)
- I'd be surpised if the grassroots umpires knew the lbw law, as a lot are just parents. Haven't seen much of Taufel this year. I can still remember the awful umpiring in the 2003 WI v Aus series in the WIN. Obviously it wasn't Parry who was umpiring, but I remember Asoka de Silva and a Zimbabwean umpire virtually destroying the series. Aaroncrick (talk) 07:03, 2 October 2009 (UTC)

I noticed a remarkable tendency to pick up where blocked user HoboJones (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · nuke contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) earlier left off. They seem to have edited over a hundred of the same articles, and in some cases seem to be virtually the only editors of articles. Some history here that bears looking into. Thanks. Rafic Hariri page
[edit]Hello i see you have protected that page, but i have a request and a comment i hope you will take in consideration. It's about the "Corruption" section. Something is really chocking in that page, and the brilliant contributor who added the "corruption" section. What is said in that section is completely biased and based on false claims with no references specified nor any justification. The reference put in there directs to a site which doesn't even exist. Anyone can check that. So i wonder how established members and admins accept to keep such outrageous and obscene falsities. The man is dead, i hope we pay him some respect and let's not keep such unjustified lies on a site visited by millions of users. I am still not an established member according to Wikipedia's rules and i cannot modify anything on the page, i hope one of the established members or admins can take this issue in consideration and remove that part of the page, and since you are the member who made the page protected, i am addressing this request specifically to you.--Sybetron phoenix (talk) 11:28, 8 October 2009 (UTC) Thank you
