Speedy deletion of Jagmohan Lal Razdan
[edit]A tag has been placed on Jagmohan Lal Razdan requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Unreferenced BLPs
[edit]Hello Yardang! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 389 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:
- Deepa Kaul - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Kashmiri Pandit. When removing content, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the content has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Sitush (talk) 09:56, 13 July 2011 (UTC)
- You simmply cannot make such massive changes without discussion. Sitush has given extremely clear explanations on Talk and in the article History for his changes, so an assertion that you're changing it to a "better" version is totally insufficient. MatthewVanitas (talk) 13:43, 18 July 2011 (UTC)
Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to blank out or remove portions of page content, templates or other materials from Wikipedia, as you did at Kashmiri Pandit, you may be blocked from editing.
You have been warned several times & have admitted to reading the talk page, where there are both explanations and a discussion. Please desist from reinstating clearly biased, clearly unencyclopedic, clearly uncited etc information Sitush (talk) 11:23, 19 July 2011 (UTC)
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Kashmiri Pandit. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
In particular, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you continue edit warring, you may be blocked from editing. Sitush (talk) 15:17, 25 July 2011 (UTC)
The article Jagmohan Lal Razdan has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Fails WP:GNG. I can find no reliable sources at GScholar or GBooks, and the only sources at GSearch appear to be mirrors and harvested content
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Sitush (talk) 03:43, 30 January 2012 (UTC)
Sheila Kaul
[edit]Are you sure of the reliability of Ved Vyas Offset, the publisher for your recent addition at Sheila Kaul? It doesn't sound particularly great to me. - Sitush (talk) 00:14, 18 February 2012 (UTC)
- I have also reverted your recent contribution at Deepa Kaul. Again, the concern is the quality of sourcing. In that instance, I have left a note on the article's talk page. I think perhaps you should take another look at WP:RS and WP:BLP - quality sources, and the provision of full information regarding them, are particularly important for BLPs. You might also want to review WP:Citing sources in order better to understand what information should be provided for each source etc. - Sitush (talk) 00:35, 18 February 2012 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for February 22
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Sheila Kaul, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Stateswoman. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
