- Wow thanks, my first talk page post. Yahoo!Sirius 08:21, 9 May 2007 (UTC)
- You're welcome. I'm glad I beat a bot.☺
- By the way, thank you for helping to improve geography-related pages, which tend to be shorter than most Wikipedia articles. As you are editing many British Columbia articles, I assume you live in or close to this territory. If you have a camera, consider taking pictures of some of the places that you write about.
- Also, be careful when writing the "Concord Pacific Group Inc." article. Make sure to write in a neutral, non-advertisement-like tone and assert the significance of the company (basically that which appears in paragraph one of its homepage).
- Keep up the good work! « D. Trebbien (talk) 14:43, 9 May 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks, that's all great advice. I'm on the move a lot, and I am hopeless with a camera, so sorry... If I can get a friend to snap a few I will do so, tho. Re; CP, yeah, I will be very careful with the article, but your advice is good. I'm pretty good with being neutral. Thanks for the reminder, BTW, I'll go update my page. redirects
[edit]Hi,
What questions did you have about redirects? They're pretty easy, create the page or move the contents and replace them with #REDIRECT [[Newpagename]]. The only other thing to do is on the old page (would then be your redirect page) check the 'what links here' and fix the other pages. Popups makes them easier to correct. Did you have any other questions about 'em? WLU 21:46, 15 July 2007 (UTC)
- Oops, I'm really sorry to take so long to reply, I was on a long holiday. I don't really know what questions I have about redirects, I just don't know what they are or how to do them. I am not sure about what you said above, because I don't know what they are, so some of what you said is a bit confusing. But I'm not in a hurry, so I'll file it until I get more info. How did you find my userpage? Yahoo!Sirius 11:20, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
I found you when you edited the Aerobics page, checked out your user page, and at the top of your list is 'Learn how to do redirects'. If you have any questions about 'em, feel free to drop me a question on my talk page. You might also like WP:ADOPT as a good way of learning a lot of stuff very quickly.
Incidentally, for the Victor Herbert (doctor) page you are going to create, make sure he passes WP:NOTABILITY, using sources other than the www.victorherbert.com page. Sources must be independent and reliable. A quick read through the webpage shows he stands a good chance, but read the guidelines carefully just in case. WLU 12:34, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
- Oh right, now I recognise your name! Thanks for the tips on notability! And as for the 'adopt' thing - I'm really not keen on learning a lot of stuff really quickly... learning one new wiki thing every month or so is pretty much exactly my speed. I make notes about what I want to learn so that I DON'T have to learn them right away, hahaha. But thanks for the suggestion anyway, if I change my mind I'll be there.Yahoo!Sirius 01:24, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
