Plagiarism and copyvio
[edit]Hi, I'm the content expert for your course that you are taking with Chuck Haberl. I received a notification that you were posting material from another source word for word to Bathari language. Looking at the material, it seems that you took this from the following journal articles:
- This article published by Watson and al-Mahri
- This journal article by the Middle East Journal
- This one by The Journal of the American Oriental Society
- Another article by The Journal of the American Oriental Society
- A journal article by the Anglisticum Journal
- This article by The British-Yemeni Society
- This work by Mark Donohue
This is seen as plagiarism and a copyright violation, as it gives off the impression that this is your own work and all of the journal content is assumed to be copyrighted to the author or the journal. I do see where you had a link to some of these journal articles, however citations can only supposed to be used to back up a claim or a brief quote - not to post material from them to Wikipedia. You may not have intended to plagiarize, however this is still seen as plagiarism. All material needs to be written in your own words.
I would like you to review the Plagiarism and Copyright training module before proceeding further. Thanks. Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 05:05, 1 May 2017 (UTC)
Hi Shalor, I'm only seeing this now! I talked with Professor Haberl and he told me to contact you and ask you to recover the code for me and see what I can do from there....Let me know. My email is flam.yael@gmail.com if you can email me, it's easier. Yaeliflam (talk) 19:04, 15 May 2017 (UTC)
