References and URLs
[edit]Hi. I see that you're adding "references" to articles but I don't know for what material in those articles you're trying to provide a reference. If you're just trying to add a URL to an article, I encourage you to review our policy about external links; in general, we don't add external links to the body of articles except when those links are part of a reference. And in general we don't add a reference to an article unless that reference is specifically supporting some material in an article.
If there is anything I can do to help or if you have any questions, please let me know! ElKevbo (talk) 17:51, 19 January 2018 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm Bennv3771. I wanted to let you know that one or more external links you added to Distance education have been removed because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you. Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Houston. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Bennv3771 (talk) 18:32, 19 January 2018 (UTC)
