Welcome!
[edit]Hello, YBarddCwsc, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as N. Wyn Evans, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's content policies and may not be retained. In short, the topic of an article must be notable and have already been the subject of publication by reliable and independent sources.
Please review Your first article for an overview of the article creation process. The Article Wizard is available to help you create an article, where it will be reviewed and considered for publication. For information on how to request a new article that can be created by someone else, see Requested articles. If you are stuck, come to the Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can help you through the processes.

- Will you please stop redirecting the article to a minor planet discoverer ?
- Given that the person has other 300 article in scientific journals and has many press releases for important discoveries, clearly he is notable.
- There are Wikipedia pages on many discoveries made by N. Wyn Evans -- like the Gaia Sausage, the Field of Streams, etc.
- If you tell me exactly what is wrong -- instead of just saying N. Wyn Evans is not notable -- that would help. YBarddCwsc (talk) 23:44, 31 January 2023 (UTC)
- Please stop re-instating your article over the redirect. Given that there is a dispute over this content, you need to open a discussion - probably at Talk:N. Wyn Evans - to attempt to reach a consensus. You may well have a case for academic notability but the content you've been posting does not do a sufficiently good job of establishing that. Bring your evidence to the discussion, stop edit warring. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 00:04, 1 February 2023 (UTC)
- I am putting references & sources & press links into the webpage.
- I wish to strongly protest about what you are doing -- you are simply telling me that N. Wyn Evans is not notable without even permitting me to correct you. And you have now told me that I am blocked.
- I have donated money to Wikipedia -- NEVER NEVER AGAIN.
- This is one of the most high handed and dictatorial places I have encountered -- it is completely changed my opinion of Wikipedia. YBarddCwsc (talk) 00:19, 1 February 2023 (UTC)
- Nowhere in that statement or the boilerplate warning I gave you have we said you are blocked. And Wikipedia uses a very specific definition of the word "notable" that does not mesh 1:1 with how the word is generally used. If you want more explanation, here goes: What you wrote is critically undersourced and your sources do not help prove he is notable in and of themselves at present. —Jéské Couriano (No further replies will be forthcoming.) 00:25, 1 February 2023 (UTC)
Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. —Jéské Couriano (No further replies will be forthcoming.) 00:11, 1 February 2023 (UTC)
