Ramachandran

The BLP section you cite does not support Dr. Ramachandran's position, as you say, but rather, it contradicts it. It cleary reads: " if the subject complains about the publication of his or her date of birth, err on the side of caution and simply list the year of birth." Thanks for chiming in on the issue; I hope more editors can participate and come to some agreement on what the policy should be. It is clearly an uncomfortable situation that pits the mission of the encyclopedia vs. the desires of notable living biography article subjects. Robert K S (talk) 05:29, 4 September 2008 (UTC)

It appears I didn't read the Ramachandran talk page discussion carefully enough; I didn't realize that we all ready were only publishing the birth year rather than the full date. You're absolutely right, this is exactly the type of case envisioned by that policy. Fortunately, I think my overall position is unchanged, although I'll probably make a clarifying remark on the talk page. About Singam (film)

Hello, I have improved a little bit of the film Singam. Does it still have to be deleted? Xxxsacheinxxx (talk) 13:24, 17 September 2008 (UTC)

Hi there. I have removed the prod, as your comments make it clear that this is not an uncontroversial deletion. Please note that anyone is free to remove a proposed deletion template, and leaving one on the article essentially means that you agree with the proposed deletion. You have improved the article, but candidly I still don't think that there is enough information available for there to be a proper article on this film yet. The guideline for notability of future films actually suggests that a film shouldn't have an article until it has started production. However, I see that you tagged the article for attention by the appropriate wikiprojects, and I trust they'll help address this issue. I'll defer to them while waiting for sources to appear. All the best, Xymmax So let it be written So let it be done 21:38, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
Can you delete Singam becuase filming hasn't started and I have moved it to my page. Sorry for the inconvenience. Xxxsacheinxxx (talk) 15:13, 19 September 2008 (UTC)
No bother at all. I don't have the power to delete, but it looks like Ultraexactzz all ready took care of it. I hope you re-write the article once the film enters production. Xymmax So let it be written So let it be done 15:19, 19 September 2008 (UTC)
