A tag has been placed on Liridon RPG requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for web content. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Hi Xxsnackattack, thanks for your note. I deleted Liridon RPG for two reasons: first was the concern that it did not assert substantive notability (see WP:WEB for guidelines), the second concern was that the text was copied from the bulletinboard site linked. I don't know who copied whom, of course. The text you submitted started "Liridon is the only place in the world that can hold such a diverse culture, and even within its endless boundaries there is conflict.", which is identical to the text on a message on that bulletin board. On further investigation, I suspect both came from here which I bet is your site (which is presumed under copyright unless specifically stated otherwise). I am sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I'm afraid even if you were to release the text, the website/RPG is not sufficiently well known to be included in Wikipedia at this time. Let me know if you have any questions or concerns. --TeaDrinker (talk) 03:13, 31 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hi again. I am sorry; this process is no doubt frustrating. From what you have said, the main concern would seem to be the notability of the site. In order to be included in Wikipedia, the subject of an article must meet a fairly high bar of being famous (termed "notability" around here). The RPG should be, for instance, covered in the gaming press (magazines, reviewed or extensively discussed by major news sites, etc.). This is in part to make sure that what is included in Wikipedia is verifiable. I realize you copied the content off the homepage of the site; this too can be problematic. Wikipedia needs to be able to independently verify what is being claimed (we are also careful to make sure the material is available for use under copyright law). I recommend you read through WP:WEB. If you think your website meets those criteria (pay close attention to the section called "criteria"), let me know. Otherwise I am afraid you may have to wait for the RPG to be covered in the news before a Wikipedia article is created. Let me know if you have any further questions or concerns. Thanks for the interest in Wikipedia, and I am sorry for what must be a frustrating process. --TeaDrinker (talk) 07:39, 31 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Liridon RPG requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
