User talk:Xtramental/Archive 2 - link issues
Please do not add commercial links or links to your own private websites to Wikipedia, as you did in Ashley Judd. Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or a mere collection of external links. You are, however, encouraged to add content instead of links. See the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. Thanks. --Yamla 23:08, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
- There is no discussion. Read WP:EL. The link you are adding to Ashley Judd is inappropriate, please stop doing it. --Yamla 01:01, 29 July 2006 (UTC)
- I didn't mean that to come across quite so aggressively. Nevertheless, your link is still inappropriate. If you think it is acceptable under the terms of WP:EL, please explain. --Yamla 01:03, 29 July 2006 (UTC)
- I have responded to your comments but due to the length, do not plan on copying and pasting it back here (as I would normally do). I welcome any response from you and thank you for your time. --Yamla 02:03, 29 July 2006 (UTC)
Deletion from Talk Pages
[edit]You said: "The user Wahkeenah has posted a link, that you deleted from the Exit To Eden (film) article, into the Exit to Eden Talk pages (in an attempted circumvention I would guess). I removed it and they complained that it was against Wikipedia rules to do that. I'm concerned they're going to be a problem again so I would like to know where to find more info on the policies about this."
- The policies in question are WP:EL and WP:SPAM. Be careful not to hit WP:3RR as well. :) --Yamla 03:15, 31 August 2006 (UTC)
