I had this book as a kid, and loved it. Thanks for the reminder. -- Longhair 01:32, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
- There's a small error in the article though. The article text states the book was released in 1961, whereas the category indicates 1963. I'll pop a verify notice in place for now. -- Longhair 01:38, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
- All fixed. -- Longhair 02:00, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for your message on my talk page. It looks like you have discovered the right answer, which is to replace the contents of the old article with a redirect to the location that was merged to. When articles are merged, Wikipedia policy is to redirect to the surviving article, rather than delete it. This is for two reasons: first, the terms of the GFDL require preserving the edit history of the original article, and second, people may be looking for the information under the original name.
My apologies for the tone of my edit summary -- didn't mean to be flippant, it's just that the criteria for speedy deletion are very narrow and specific and I just hadn't seen something like that before. In any case, good work on getting the articles merged and redirected. Best, --MCB 04:35, 6 July 2006 (UTC) (P.S. I like cheese too!)
Two liters
[edit]Nice work on Two-liter bottle - you really kicked that article into shape. Do you have any sources to cite for the information you added? I think the history and recycling sections could use some references. ~ Booya Bazooka 06:07, 7 July 2006 (UTC)

Monobook
[edit]I've moved your monobook to User:Xrblsnggt/monobook.js, if you do a hard refresh, hopefully it will work now. When you make a subpage remember to always prefix it with User:Xrblsnggt/ Welcome, and feel free to ask me questions on my talk page. Mak (talk) 03:54, 12 July 2006 (UTC)
Cranbury School
[edit]I found out the old Cranbury School building is on the New Jersey Historic Site list and the National Historic Site list. The article has changed since your vote. WhisperToMe 15:55, 16 July 2006 (UTC)
LOL AfD comments
[edit]Heh, for a while, I thought I was the only one to leave sarcastic comments 1) to see if people read them and B) to keep the AfD pages from being mind-numbingly boring. These two Rev Speer and Omnipotism are classics. Disclaimer: No cheese was harmed in the creation of this comment. -- MrDolomite | Talk 20:26, 18 July 2006 (UTC)
Iran and Israel
[edit]Hi there! please take a look at the pages Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Israel and Iran-Israel relations. You would see that these Jewish wikipedians that all voted for deletion of Ehud Olmert and Iran page, can not tolerate the inclusion of the material of the article in any of the above mentioned articles !! You will see that the story is some thing else ! --Sinooher16:59, 21 July 2006 (UTC)
- To a large majority of the world, endless conflict is not that central to their lives. I think the folks out there in the middle east could take a lesson and get some outside interests like working on cars or music or something. --Xrblsnggt 01:08, 22 July 2006 (UTC)
Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Self-contradiction
[edit]Your comment on Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Self-contradiction contradicted your vote, you might want to change one or the other. --Xyzzyplugh 04:30, 22 July 2006 (UTC)
- No, I think I'm going to keep it that way. --Xrblsnggt 04:31, 22 July 2006 (UTC)

- Even your comments are spam. Wikipedia is not an advertising service. --Xrblsnggt 01:16, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
- Do you know how highly offensive that is calling that spam when I am just trying to give you a reference to the community that helped build that page? I do realize that Wikipedia is not an advertising service, but you are going to destroy that a community has built. --GavLewis 04:04, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
- Loyal customers don't catalog advertising slogans in articles about a company. --Xrblsnggt 04:22, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
- Its part of the companies history as noted before by another Wiki User. Is there anything saying you cannot include the companies slogans? If you check the page now, I think that you'll find that the media releases now make the page comply to the WP:CORP standards. --GavLewis 04:25, 5 August 2006 (UTC)

CSD G4
[edit]Here's a tutorial, re: [1].
- If the reposted article was previously speedied, G4 is inapplicable. To speedy it again, an A-criterion needs to apply again.
- If previously deleted on expired prod, reposting is a post-factum contested prod, and must go through AfD.
- If previously deleted after AfD, only then does G4 apply.
Please re-read the policy carefully. - CrazyRussian talk/email 02:50, 9 August 2006 (UTC)
Your comment about wrestling
[edit]- A web board about a staged sport? What do you talk about? "My fake guy can beat up your fake guy?"
To answer your question, I think the article on the Internet wrestling community might answer that. You'd be suprised at how much Internet-capable wrestling fans know (and discuss) about their fake sport. --NeoChaosX (talk | contribs) 07:19, 9 August 2006 (UTC)
- Ha! Excellent quote, I must say. Bravo. Rarely do I get a good laugh here. – Someguy0830 (Talk | contribs) 07:38, 9 August 2006 (UTC)
Hi, I'm User:MrDolomite...
[edit]- Your comment on AfD Michael Corsale was classic. I actually laughed out loud. Why isn't there a WP:HiITMcL or {{HiTMcL}} for just such an emergency?. Needed to LOL, thanks. — MrDolomite | Talk 04:09, 10 August 2006 (UTC)
- Aw, I just say what people are already thinking. --Xrblsnggt 01:48, 11 August 2006 (UTC)
GSFE/Global Sports Financial Exchange
[edit]Dear Xrblsnggt,
Thank you for taking the time to review our entery. We have no desire to abuse Wikipedia. There have been posts stating we are either attempting to advertise on Wikipedia, are a scam, or a gambling site.
But this all very untrue. There have been two live TV News pieces done on our exchange one from Denver and one from NY,NY I will gladly provide you with a link to these. There are also several radio and newspaper stories covering our exchange. Here are two links to newspaper articles:
http://www.al.com/business/mobileregister/kturner.ssf?/base/business/114276370150830.xml&coll=3
http://slam.canoe.ca/Slam/Columnists/Lankhof/2006/03/08/1478175-sun.html
We are not a sports book or variant of a gambling website. I believe the above mentioned falls under the WP:CORP requirements. We do not want to use Wikipedia as a form of advertising, our sports derivatives contracts exchange is a super innovative concept. It is one that represents the forward thinking and independent growth of our generation. Please give us a chance, take a moment to write me and get to know us and if I am mistaken on the requirements please help me, you can reach me at carlosd@allsportsmarket.com Thank you.
- You are missing the point. Notability is not license to advertise. --Xrblsnggt 01:48, 11 August 2006 (UTC)
Your edit to List of geniuses
[edit]Thank you for experimenting with the page List of geniuses on Wikipedia. Your test worked, and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. TJ Spyke 03:27, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
- Bah! No list of geniuses is complete without Xrblsnggt! (It is a clearly doomed Afd. Lighten up, kiddo.) --Xrblsnggt 03:49, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
- I know it's likely to be deleted, but it still shouldn't be vandalized. You are more than welcome to do that on the sandbox since the sandbox was designed for people to mess around it. TJ Spyke 04:00, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
- It wouldn't be as funny there. --Xrblsnggt 04:06, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

Spam...
[edit]You appear to be mildly obsessed with classifying nearly every article as spam... Hejog 13:39, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
- Spam is kind of a misnomer if you consider its alternate usage in other online media, but in many online forums and in wiki-land it is taken to mean advertising. See WP:SPAM. This can be very subtle for sometimes complicated reasons. Wikipedia is greatly trusted and respected by search engines since it is a major part of what the Internet was envisioned to be: a reliable repository of information. The downside of this trust is the fact that corporations and organizations, as a side effect of publishing their links on wikipedia get search engine notariety as a side effect. Whether this advertising is intentional or incidental, it is still advertising. If there is any question about whether an organization is notable enough to be included on wikipedia, there are several commonly-agreed-upon guidelines: WP:CORP, WP:ORG and WP:WEB. This may seem elitist or jerky, but imagine a wikipedia where anything goes. You would have page after page of crap and no one would take it as a serious medium. --Xrblsnggt 01:39, 25 August 2006 (UTC)
Aplus.Net
[edit]Hi, I believe you voted to delete Aplus.Net. One week after deletion they recreated it as Aplus.net. They recently renamed it back to Aplus.Net and started linking it around inappropriately. I spotted it and speedied it, but they've contended it, and it's undergoing a second deletion review. Please could you take a look at the article and vote (one way or another)? Many thanks!WolfKeeper 17:22, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
