Request reason:

Caught by an open proxy block but this host or IP is not an open proxy. My IP address is 2001:420:2710:1320:4ad:5903:32f2:7f6b. According to the block info, 2001:420::/32 is blocked, but that is Cisco Systems, Inc IPv6 network, in whole. While there _is_ a Cisco VPN inside of that, like any large company, that VPN is limited to Cisco employees and is in no way open. Otherwise the rest of the space belongs to Cisco office networks and datacenters. Please let me know if you know why the entirety of Cisco's IPv6 allocation has been marked to block. Decline reason:

It is generally not permitted to edit via a VPN, as they can be used abusively and rapidly changing IP addresses makes the abuse difficult to stop otherwise. You will have to confine your editing to when you are away from work or otherwise not using your work computer systems. 331dot (talk) 14:29, 14 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please unblock my IPv6 network

Request reason:

Caught by an open proxy block but this host or IP is not an open proxy. My IP address is 2001:470:E24C:200:309B:482D:AC05:15A5 . This is part of a network I receive through an IPv6 in IPv4 tunnel ( 2001:470:E24C::/48). This is not open. This network has been mine and only mine, through an account I hold with hurricane electric, for more than 15 years. Please reevaluate why you are considering this an open or anonymising proxy. Decline reason:

No can do as the underlying /32 range is not only blocked, it's globally locked so it's above our heads. Your best option is to request global IP block exemption or edit from a different IP. — Daniel Case (talk) 07:15, 18 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
