Welcome!
[edit]Hello, XplorerSoftware, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.
I noticed that one of the first articles you edited was Draft:BackUp Xplorer, which appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.
To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.
One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)
In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:BackUp Xplorer
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Draft:BackUp Xplorer, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. 🐍Helen🐍 20:44, 31 May 2021 (UTC)

[edit]You may request a change of name and unblock if you intend to make useful contributions other than promoting your business or organization. To do this, first search Special:CentralAuth for available usernames that comply with the username policy. Once you have found an acceptable username, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}}
at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. In your reasons, you must:
- Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
- Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
- Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
{{unblock|Your reason here}}
at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 21:01, 31 May 2021 (UTC)Rename from "XplorerSoftware" to "Dev0523"

Unblock Please
[edit]Dev0523 (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
I am new to wikipedia, and just developing a draft for our product I didn't intend to submit it yet until I had a cursory review. This I was hoping would tell me what I had done wrong. I listed my edits as COI exactly as it said to do so. So could someone please unblock this account so I can finish the page add the 3rd party articles, change the verbiage and get a cursory review
Decline reason:
I can't unblock based on this request. Yes, you're new to the platform, but you're clearly not here to build an encyclopedia. You wrote an unanbiguous advert for your employer's product. Reviewing stuff like that is a waste of volunteers' time, and a drain on our resources: if that's the only reason you're here, you won't be unblocked. GirthSummit (blether) 23:33, 31 May 2021 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
Its not the only reason i am here, and are cataegory is filled with information about software products. I apologize about wasting someones time, but as soon as i saw the alert i was attempting edit and reach out to make it more inline with what you are after to have it blocked. I wasnt expecting it to be reviewed by anyone (it says it can take up to 4 months). Any i didnt mean any disrespect, just a newby. Please allow to try again so i can contribute to the space. Unblock Reqest Again
[edit]Dev0523 (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
As I said I am new to Wiki and just trying to add to the category of backup software and backup software lists. Higher in this thread there was an offer to tell me exactly what I was doing wrong and that is what I was attempting when the block happened. I had no intention of publishing the information as is I thought it was all draft??? I was looking at other software products on here that relate to this category and doing research so I could revise things when this block happened.
As a newby it would be awesome if someone could cut me a break and realize that I was not trying to waste anyones time. I am just learning the ins and outs of the platform and want to be a good contributor over time
Decline reason:
While you edited in Draft space, all edits to every page on Wikipedia appear in the Recent Changes feed; this is likely how your edits were seen(combined with your original username). Draft space is not immune from deletion processes like speedy deletion. What you wrote was a clear advertisement and you wrote the edit summary "I work for Xplorer Software & Have Created This Page To Give A List Of Features About The Product So It Can Be Added To Other Backup Software Lists Here On Wikipedia" which is also a promotional purpose. Wikipedia is not interested in having company employees describe the features of their products. That's just advertising even if you aren't actively soliciting customers or selling something. A Wikipedia article summarizes what independent reliable sources with significant coverage have chosen on their own(no press releases or other materials put out by the company) to say about a topic, showing how that topic meets the special Wikipedia definition of notability. Please read conflict of interest and paid editing. You won't be unblocked to, in the short term, make contributions related to your conflict of interest, including your company, its products, and your field. If that is your only goal here, this is the end of the road for your Wikipedia career. If you want to be a general contributor and edit about Joe Biden or math or science or the history of your country- in other words, something not related to your conflict of interest, please tell what topics those might be. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 09:15, 2 June 2021 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
