- @Imzadi1979: Yes, I know, the page is now gone. However, I asked for it to be moved to my userspace so I could move the listings to their respective road pages, and either that didn't happen, or I can't find my userspace. Where can I find them? Xninetynine (talk) 15:03, 18 December 2018 (UTC)X99
- You'll have to ask the closing administrator, Randykitty, to restore a copy in your user space. I've pinged the admin, so he or she should be aware of this discussion thread. Beyond that, I have no power over the situation as I'm not an admin. Imzadi 1979 → 16:28, 18 December 2018 (UTC)
- Done I have moved the article to User:Xninetynine/List of abandoned highways in the United States. Please don't let it linger there for too long, userspace is not intended to be a repository for deleted articles... When you're done with, just let me know and I'll delete it again. --Randykitty (talk) 16:35, 18 December 2018 (UTC)
South Dakota Highway 248 moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, South Dakota Highway 248, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution
[edit] Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Special_routes_of_U.S._Route_16 into your draft on U.S Route 16 in South Dakota. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution
. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. JC7V (talk) 21:13, 21 December 2018 (UTC)
That just adds to the list of reasons why it's a draft, rather than a regular page. I still don't know all of this stuff, so thanks for notifying me. Xninetynine (talk) 04:24, 31 December 2018 (UTC)X99

[edit]Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at John F. Kennedy. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges. Thank you. General Ization Talk 00:43, 9 January 2019 (UTC)
Welcome, and thank you for your attempt to lighten up Wikipedia. However, this is an encyclopedia and articles are intended to be serious, so please don't make joke edits. Readers looking for accurate information will not find them amusing. If you'd like to experiment with editing, please use the sandbox instead, where you are given a certain degree of freedom in what you write. SNUGGUMS (talk / edits) 00:46, 9 January 2019 (UTC)
- In response to both of you, I reverted them myself, less than a minute after making them. I had no harmful intentions. Xninetynine (talk) 01:13, 9 January 2019 (UTC)X99
- Yes, we're aware of that. Vandalism is vandalism, no matter how long it remains or whether you revert it yourself, and harms the encyclopedia. There is no "harmless" vandalism. Stop it. General Ization Talk 01:15, 9 January 2019 (UTC)
- It won't happen again. I have no intentions to do this again to any article. Xninetynine (talk) 01:19, 9 January 2019 (UTC)X99
- Thank you. Please don't. General Ization Talk 01:26, 9 January 2019 (UTC)
