Welcome, Xiaden, to Esperanza! As you might know, all the Esperanzians share one important goal: the success of this encyclopedia. Within that, we then attempt to strengthen the community bonds, and be the "approachable" side of the project. All of our ideals are held in the Charter, the governing document of the association.

Now that you are a member you should read the guide to what to do now or you may be interested in some of our programs. You can support editors who have encountered any stress from their Wikipedia events, and are seeking to leave the project. So far, Esperanza can be credited with the support and retention of several users. We will send you newsletters to keep you up to date. Also, we have a calendar of special events, member birthdays, and other holidays that you can add to and follow.

In addition to these projects, several more missions of Esperanza are in development, and are currently being created at Esperanza/Proposals.

If you have any other questions, concerns, comments, or general ideas, Esperanzian or otherwise, know that you can always contact our administrator general Natalya by email or talk page. Consider introducing yourself at the Esperanza talk page! Alternatively, you could communicate with fellow users via our IRC channel, #wikipedia-esperanza (which is also good for a fun chat or two :). If you're new to IRC, you may find help at an IRC tutorial. I thank you for joining Esperanza, and look forward to working with you in making Wikipedia a better place to work!

Hello. How can we help you? — Nearly Headless Nick {L} 15:29, 14 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

hey, i put a css file on my page, i'd like to know how to impliment it correctly... it's not really working right, so i disabled it.Xiaden 19:32, 14 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Xiaden. This isn't my area of expertise, but maybe you could provide some more detail for whoever does know about this stuff, like:
  • Where did you put the CSS file?
  • What did you already do to try to get it working?
  • What were you wanting/expecting to happen?
  • What actually happened?
Hopefully, with that information someone who knows about this stuff will be able to help you out. —PurpleRAIN 22:11, 14 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
kk:
  • the css file is at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Xiaden/css.css
  • i tryed implimenting it through the normal 'link' tag, thne with nowiki around it.
  • i was exspecting the tables to gain a blue hue, and the backround to be a(darker?) shade of blue.
  • It did not impliment the css, save for when trying to edit the file(by edit this page)
  • is it possible to use this method to get a css file? or am i waisting my time?

Ok, what you've done is put the css on the page User:Xiaden/css.css, and to impliment it you need to copy it to User:Xiaden/monobook.css (if your using the defult monobook skin). Hope that helps! -Royalguard11(Talk·Desk·Review Me!) 22:51, 14 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
