My original username was NASCAR Fan24; I received complaints about the length as well as concerns that my NF24 signature could confuse new users, so I changed it. Xenon5413:33, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
Well, there are other usernames which are much longer. And you could have always changed your sig if you wanted to avoid confusion, but yeah, as long as everyone's happy. :-D 86.154.180.0 (talk) 19:15, 6 April 2008 (UTC)

Sorry, it seems that the bot quit before completing its run last week. Here is the last two weeks' worth of Signpost. Ralbot (talk) 08:46, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
Hi, Need some help... I used to have a page up which got deleted, but my conversation (about Speedy Delete) has been crawled by google and comes up in searches and reflects poorly on the name. How can we remove this from being crawled?
Hmm. I know we can't remove them from the Google index where they will remain until the next crawl. Though we could always remove them from the archive page from which they have been indexed: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:WebHamster/Archive_2 I didn't want to do it myself because it asks not to at the top of the page. But for people who don't understand the Wiki terminology (ie "Speedy Delete") it reflects poorly on our business. Can we please take the required measures to fix this? KayKBayZ (talk) 12:37, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
If these required measures are removing a discussion from an archive, then no. Archives are not meant to be edited. Even if you remove the content, it will still show up in the history unless it's oversighted which is unlikely. A quick Google search [1] does not return the discussion mentioned above. Apologies for the late delivery; my internet connection went down halfway through the delivery process.

As discussed at WT:USRD, the participants list at WP:USRD is being split by state. Since your name has multiple states next to it, "PA" has been removed from your name the large USRD-wide table, and your name has been added to the PA-specific table. This is part of the lengthy process. If this is in error, please let me know immediately. Regards, Rschen7754 (TC) 05:31, 18 May 2008 (UTC)

RFA thankspam
Thanks for your support in my RFA, which passed with 140 supporting, 11 opposing, and 4 neutral. I will do my best to live up to the trust that you have given to me. If I can ever assist you with anything, just ask.
Thanks for explaining your reasoning for rolling back my anonymous edit on the third part of the first episode. (I was the one who re-wrote the plot for that episode with 3 paragraphs with way too much detail.) Your comment got me interested in the SpongeBob Wikia. I think I already know the answer to this question I'm about to ask, but I figured I'd run it by you if you've got time to answer so I know for sure. Can the SpongeBob Wikia be used as a guide for helping with WikiProject: SpongeBob SquarePants? I know I can't rely on it as a source obviously, but can I at least (like I said) use it to help guide my efforts to improve the articles on Wikipedia? Thanks once again. 98.202.38.225 (talk) 02:57, 15 September 2008 (UTC)
Are you talking about something like {{Infobox user}}? The directions on that page should help you with that. Or you talking about a userbox, in which case you just copy-and-paste the code that starts and ends with {{}}. You have a special page to put all this - it's at User:Ourhero in doom2, and a page detailing what you can and can't put on it is at Wikipedia:Userpages. Xenon5418:33, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for uploading Image:WZZM-logo.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 06:29, 1 October 2008 (UTC)
Annoying user
A user called DyingxToxLivexAgain wrote annoying messages on my talk page, he did this twice in the past couple of weeks. So is there a way thats wiki-legal to get this guy under control? By the way, I've deleted his first message already.

Signpost updated for November 17, 2008 and before.
Because the Signpost hasn't been sent in a while, to save space, I've condensed all seven issues that were not sent into this archive. Only the three issues from November are below.
intrainingJack In is wishing you a MerryChristmas! This greeting (and season) promotes WikiLove and hopefully this note has made your day a little better. Spread the WikiLove by wishing another user a Merry Christmas, whether it be someone you have had disagreements with in the past, a good friend, or just some random person. Don't eat yellow snow!
Spread the holiday cheer by adding {{subst:User:Flaming/MC2008}} to their talk page with a friendly message.
Quit trolling. That was your third question on the Help Desk accusing us of being Unionists. If you ask an actual question next time, it won't get removed. Xenon5413:26, 10 January 2009 (UTC)
I believe you were told in one of the responses to your questions that only 16% of English Wikipedians live in the United Kingdom. (That is the proper way to reference the country, if the usage of "United Kingdom" instead of "England", "Scotland", "Wales", or "Northern Ireland" is getting you angry.) So 84% of Wikipedians -including me- do not even know what you mean by "Unionist". How can we be something if we don't know what it is? Xenon5413:53, 10 January 2009 (UTC)
