November 2023
[edit]Hi, Xavier3Caballero. Content must be verifiable. Also, pursuant to WP:FILMACCOLADES:
"Awards included in lists should have a Wikipedia article to demonstrate notability".
"Because of the proliferation of film festivals and "award mills", festival awards should be added with discretion, with inclusion subject to consensus".
Don't add awards without article to lists. If you add an award in a minor festival (let alone a nomination in a minor festival... let alone a nomination in a minor festival without article) and you see your edit undone you may need to muster consensus in the talk page before entering it again. Happy editing.--Asqueladd (talk) 20:30, 7 November 2023 (UTC)

Mysterious claim that Vasil Kacarov won a Danish cinematography award
[edit]Back in November, with this edit, you added a claim that "Vasil Kacarov" won a 2023 Bodil Award for Cinematograpy citing their official prize page which does not mention "Vasil Kacarov." Instead, their cinematography prize that year went to Maria von Hausswolff for "Vanskabte land. Can you explain this puzzling edit by you? HouseOfChange (talk) 23:58, 12 December 2023 (UTC)
- I am sorry, I cited the wrong page. I got that information from this one.
- I am so confused if it does not appear on the official page. Maybe I got that wrong. Xavier3Caballero (talk) 22:10, 15 December 2023 (UTC)
- IMDB is not considered RS because anybody can edit its pages. For example, elsewhere on that page you can see that Vacil Kacarov won many 2023 prizes -- according to his IMDB page, this 18-year-old billionaire seller of luxury jewelry has many other film awards and nominations, including James Bond, which he apparently directed in 2015 when he was 10 years old. Anyway, get confirmation from a reliable source before putting IMDB info in Wikipedia. HouseOfChange (talk) 23:23, 15 December 2023 (UTC)

Answer
[edit]I do recall having told you about this many times before. You may not have listened at all. Take this as the last time I am providing you with this guideline. As per Wikipedia content guideline MOS:FILMACCOLADES, Because of the proliferation of film festivals and "award mills", festival awards should be added with discretion, with inclusion subject to consensus
You are not even adding festival awards but festival selections (second rate festivals) and some of them not even main competition selections. You are creating award cruft, you are certainly not adding accolades with discretion, and your edits may require a consensus. As for a case of lost information, a film's festival run should be tracked primarily in the release section, not in the accolades section.--Asqueladd (talk) 13:08, 19 September 2024 (UTC)
