Thanks for uploading Image:Thomas Cole (Youth).jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

Other people, including you, have deleted information from their talk page, so why can't I ? Precisely which Wikipedia rule prevents this ? How can offensive Nazi messages be kept from a talk page ? Is deletion the only solution ? I will cease looking at the talk page in future. I add little to Wikipedia, yet all I've seen on it so far is pointles and unjustified conflict and animosity. Yes, I have removed information from my talk page after the user stated that it was mistakenly added in the first place. It is also appropriate to remove personal attacks or other talk page vandalism. It is considered bad practice to remove discussions from your talk page, but more importantly, warning should not be removed since as I have already explained, other users need to be able to see a history of any policy violations. These should be archived rather than deleted (as I have done with my talk page). Since you have decided to remove the warning after being told around ten times not to do so, you have been blocked for a period of 24 hours. ShadowHalo 15:39, 28 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

1. The information I recently removed was not a warning. So why are you falsely claiming it is ?

2. According to Isotope nobody is obliged to keep any information on their talk page. So why are you falsely making out it is an obligation ?

It doesn't seem that I can do that yet, because ShadowHalo has blocked me for 24 hours. This is despite, it appears, any Wikiepdia rule ever being breached and my having acted entirely within my Wikipedia rights. I will remove it all by archiving when the unjustified ban expires. Clarification

There is no stated "rule" that you have to keep anything on your talkpage, but it is generally considered bad form to remove posts/warnings etc. It is generally better to archive information than just delete it.--Isotope23 15:32, 28 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
