The article Ayumi Kawasaki has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No independent, reliable sources about her. Only refs in article are her competition records, which do not count towards notability.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button or located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when they said it. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 07:50, 30 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The article Yusuke Aihara has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Manway 23:27, 2 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of Vert skating for deletion

[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Vert skating is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Vert skating until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Dennis Brown - © Join WER 12:30, 18 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • This discussion will take page at the AFD linked above, but the basic problem is a lack of independent notability. AFD is a discussion, open to everyone, where we take a week to discuss whether or not the article subject matter fits the criteria for inclusion here. It is not the same as a "speedy delete", where those are clearly obvious. The best thing to do is go to the AFD, and look at the reasons why it is there, and try to fix the article. If several days from now, it looks like it will be deleted, you can always make a request that the article be "userfied", meaning moved to a subpage in your userspace (something like User:XK8ER/Vert.x) while you work on it to get it up to speed. Some articles are tough to properly source and just take time which is why we do this on request. Most important, remember that my sending it to AfD isn't personal, I just stumbled across the article while patrolling new pages, saw that there was some question about notability, so sent it to a place where it can be openly discussed, not instantly deleted. This is part of the process here. I've had my own article there more than once. Participate in the discussion, keep a polite and positive attitude, and hopefully someone will come along that really knows the sport and can help save it Honestly, even though I sent it to AFD, nothing would please me more than someone fixing it so it passes criteria, to which I would happily withdraw the AFD. You would help retention of articles you create by using WP:CITE rather than unlinked lists of potential sources at the bottom of the page.. cheers SatuSuro 11:21, 11 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Matt_Salerno&curid=37542509&diff=522862553&oldid=522463500 huh? the article says he is and you remove it? not sure what you are up to, worth using summary words to explain what you are doing - the arts need work to fix up... SatuSuro 01:01, 14 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
i know exactly what you means but there are only 43 vert skaters on wikipedia and there is no need to keep creating new categories, just keep it simple see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Vert_skaters XK8ER (talk) 01:36, 14 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
