Userpage header

[edit]

On your user page, instead of saying User:Wyatt915 at the top in plain ol' text, it says it in an image. I, being a WikiFairy, created File:Goldblattster userpage header 1.svg, a simple .svg derived from my user "logo". I was wondering how to have it in the title like you do. Please reply on my user page! --Mr. Mentil (Goldblattster) (talk!) 14:35, 14 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

In need of mentorship

[edit]

Hi,

I saw your name over at WP:ADOPT.

I need the advice of an experienced Wikipedian.

I'm currently coordinating development of Wikipedia's Outline of knowledge, which has grown to around 500 pages, and I am having trouble recruiting editors to help build and improve it. I need some mentorship here.

I also need advice on the guidelines I've been writing for the Outline of Knowledge at User:The Transhumanist/Outline of knowledge. Is it good enough? Did I miss anything important?

My latest effort to recruit help on the outlines is a proposal for a contest between all of the country WikiProjects on Wikipedia (about 200 of them). This will be a very big event, and I'm not sure I'm going about it in the best way.

So you see, I've taken on a lot, and I need as much advice as I can get.

I look forward to your reply on my talk page.

I am pretty sure that ACES and CADPAC do not have a periodic capacity, so your revert is probably incorrect. It is not clear what kind of source we need for this. --Bduke (Discussion) 00:01, 6 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, Wyatt915! Thought you might be interested in Motto of the Day, a collaborative (and totally voluntary) effort by a group of Wikipedians to create original, inspirational mottos. Have a good motto idea? Share it here, comment on some of the mottos there or just pass this message onto your friends.

MOTD Needs Your Help!

Delivered By –pjoef (talkcontribs) 09:31, 24 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If we do not get some help probably our daily mottos could stop. We need your help. If you get a chance between your normal editing, it would be very nice of you if you could stop by our nominations page and leave a few comments on some of the nominations there as well as nominating your own mottos.
The procedure works very simply:

  • To nominate a motto, simply add it at the top of the In review section.
  • To vote for approval, read a motto on that section and decide whether or not you like it simply by posting your opinion just below that motto.

Click here for more about the nomination procedure.
If you have any questions or suggestions about MOTD, please let us know by posting on the project's talk page, or message me on my talk page. Thank you very much, you are very welcome, and happy editing! –pjoef (talkcontribs) 09:27, 25 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on 10 Days in Google Books, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. I'm working on the Namib desert horse right now. It's my first article. I have a question about pictures on the discussion page. Could you please look at it? Also would you help me with the article too? Dana boomer, Airplaneman, and I are working on it right now. I'd be glad if you'd help. Mhera (talk) 21:23, 4 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

What happened here? :-p Xavexgoem (talk) 01:17, 9 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Wyatt915! I regret having to tell you that I have closed your RfA as unsuccessful per the "not now" and snowball clauses. Please do continue your work around the site. Trust me when I say that you're great at what you already do. Since it was suggested that you expand beyond vandal-fighting, may I suggest starting by helping out at Did you know? We could never use enough help there! See here and here for rules about DYK and other important information, and here is where you review nominations. Good luck, and don't feel hesitant to drop me a line if you need help, or if you want to help out at other areas (such as AIV and UAA) as well. Cheers, Dylan620 (contribs, logs)help us! 16:34, 9 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your reversion of my edit on Men's 100 metres world record progression

[edit]

Please take more care when reverting edits with Huggle. If you had read even the first sentence of the section, you would have realized that an immediate revert without further examination would be incorrect. As it stands, even your edit has been adjusted by registered users to reflect my edit (the table examines low-altitude records, and the section discussion low altitude vs. high altitude record tables). Sincerely, 173.57.76.98 (talk) 00:43, 17 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
