Red XII
[edit]Need a cite for Red's Age, post a screenshot or similar in discussion if possible, or I'll be forced to revert based on the original manual. CitrusC 14:40, 12 December 2005 (UTC)
- Read the game transcript: [1]
- I'll quote:
- Bugenhagen: "Ho Ho Hoooo. I hear that you looked after Nanaki a bit. Nanaki is still a child you see."
- Red XIII: "Please stop, grandfather. I'm 48."
- Bugenhagen: "Ho Ho Hoooo. Nanaki's tribe has incredible longevity. So you see his 48 years would only be equivalent to say that of a 15 or 16 year old in human reckoning."
- Cloud: "15 or 16!?"
- Bugenhagen: "He's quiet and very deep. You thought he was an adult?"

- Confirmed. CitrusC 22:19, 12 December 2005 (UTC)
Nice job with the PSO patch comment
[edit]I couldn't have said it better myself. I actually found this flaw to begin with back on Dreamcast. It was rediscovered by pirates and homebrewers on Gamecube a few years later. By the way, Sega's name for this patch system is RcvProgramPatch - this is known from debug strings that were left in the Dreamcast versions of the game. -- Myria 16:02, 2 Mar 2005 (UTC)
lilypond
[edit]I have heard (from Ardonik) that you are good at creating sheet music with lilypond. Could you help me out by recreating Image:Sylviascore.gif and replacing it with a free version? If you can't, then could you refer me to someone who could? Thanks! -- Rmrfstar 13:16, 13 August 2005 (UTC)
- Good? I just read the documentation and transcribe the ocassional score to Lilypond format. =) I may try this thing in a few days, but since this is just a few bars, you may try installing Lilypond and trying it yourself.
- BTW, transcribing the thing to another format will probably not remove original typesetter's copyright in any case. Mutopia Project folks get so few submissions because they need to hunt originals or out-of-copyright editions, they can't just mindlessly reproduce the examples from modern editions because they're technically improved versions and thus subject to copyright. If you can find a scan of a edition from 1800s, maybe then =) --Wwwwolf 16:20, 13 August 2005 (UTC)
- If I could find a scan of an 1800s edition, I wouldn't be in this pickle. You seem to be correct about not being able to copy a copyrighted edition, I shall look harder for an older one. Thanks anyway though! -- Rmrfstar 00:04, 14 August 2005 (UTC)
Final Fantasy VII wikibook
[edit]Heh, flattered to hear that you think my FFVI wikibook was amazingly successful. I like the idea of using wikibooks as game guides because they can be edited by anyone and have the most complete and accurate information on the game, plus there's a lot of advantages to using HTML and images to illustrate content.
A few bits of advice on writing a FFVII wiki:
- The way I wrote the walkthrough for FFVI was playing through the game a single time, and taking notes during each major section for the walkthrough. Since I had the game on emulator, I could just alt+tab back and forth between the wiki page and the game to write while things are still fresh in my mind.
- Completeness is the biggest thing people will be looking for. Easily accessed info on where to find all the materia, get all the limit breaks, and do all the secrets will probably be where most people scan first.
- Tables, images, and cross-references will be extremely helpful, since when you're writing about one topic and you want to link a particular character or enemy on another page, you can follow the link to help fill in the article yourself.
- Sites like www.gamefaqs.com have plenty of FAQs available for these games with some conflicting content, try to examine things for yourself and sort it out.
The Final Fantasy VI guide could use a little more polishin up I'm sure, and I'm currently working on finishing up a Chrono Trigger walkthrough, so I'd appreciate any help on those too.--BigCow 18:14, 28 September 2005 (UTC)

His Lies about EO
[edit]Throughout his Wikipaedia writings, he has come accross various games, such as EO, known as Nazi Online. Coincidently, he lies about EO, with its cover story of 'lozl it kewlie game plx' in hope that he can become an admin. DOWN WITH EO!
Okay.
Thanks =[
- I don't lie about Endless Online. I haven't written any new content to the article. I just see it vandalized to hell and back and I revert the damage. If you want to correct the so-called "lies", correct them, but only if you can do it in a neutral, objective fashion.
- And if you had bothered to read my user page, you'd have noted that I use Linux and I'm thus chronically unable to play the game, which, most would agree, casts a murky shadow over my alleged delusions of grandeur. If I would, I'd sure as hell update the article, because it's painful in its current state.
- (And how many "lies" can you fit in a friggin' stub article anyway???) --Wwwwolf 17:11, 30 October 2005 (UTC)
