Template:Schools in Rotherham

Hi there! I think your Template:Schools in Rotherham is a great addition. However, I dont think it is right to include all schools on this list unless they actually have an article on wikipedia. It is highly unlikely that most nursery or primary schools will get their own page on wiki, and so having all the red links makes the list look untidy. Of course, if articles on other schools in Rotherham are subsequently created, they can be added to this template then. MEG

There was nothing fictional about the Midland Examining Group's offices in Birmingham. TWMEB, based in Mill Wharf, continued to do a proportion of exam processing right up until the decision to merge into the new OCR Board in 1997, and several MEG subject officers were based at Mill Wharf throughout MEG's existence. --RexxS (talk) 18:39, 29 August 2015 (UTC)

Sorry, my phrasing was poor. I actually know very little about MEG and its offices. However, I did see that a now blocked user was adding a Birmingham to the HQ field of the infobox at the same time as removing all the dates. In other words, he/she was using the 'correction' of the HQ to hide that he/she was removing the dates. You removed Birmingham HQ, pointing out it was just an office, and restored the dates. The now blocked user (under a couple of different usernames) kept on reverting. I just restored the information like you did. The point I was trying to make was that adding in Birmingham was really a front to hide the removal of the dates (which the user had also been doing to all similar articles). Thanks for keeping out the vandalism - we really could use some more independent sourcing for much of the history, otherwise it can indeed be hard to figure out what's true. I have the advantage of having been the Chair of TWMEB and a member of MEG's senior committees during the 1990s, but I don't count as a reliable source of course. I guess not, though I imagine you are more likely to be able access/find sources than most. I've only really come across Wikipedia's coverage of examination boards in the United Kingdom recently and there is some good content, though huge gaps, especially for the extinct exam boards.
