User talk:Wulingqi
Hey! I will try to do the review by the end of this week. Frgx (talk) 01:21, 24 October 2012 (UTC)
INFO 237 Draft
[edit]Hi Wulingqi. I am signed up as your first reviewer. I am not sure what exactly were the parts of the Microsoft v AT&T article that you wrote. Can you send me a link to view those changes ? Frgx (talk)
First review responses:
- Change appellate court link to the actual court (probably second district).
- There is a self-reference in citation [1]
- In the paragraph on the federal circuit opinion, citation [3] should occur much before [4]. Also, wikilink possibly to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft_litigation#Eolas
- Direct link to the district opinion needed in citation, with a reference in the text.
- No citations for the impact sections.
- No citation for "However, AT&T urged that the Supreme Court's decision actually created a "loophole" for software makers to avoid liability under §271(f).[1] " [1] is the opinion, not to a news article talking about this. The opinion should be linked much earlier.
- Don't use docket information as the citation (i.e., [5]) since it doesn't contain anything of much use.
- Add More categories: Category:Lists of United States Supreme Court opinions of Ginsberg, supreme court opinions of 2007 and so on. I think you already have the links via articles, but need to use more categories.

Disambiguation link notification for October 18
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Microsoft v. AT&T, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Disc (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Message from Adrianeu
[edit]Hi. Would it be okay with you if you do first edits on my articles and I take over first edits for noahj_ucb (talk · contribs) Silvaco Data Systems v. Intel Corp? I don't have a first reviewer slot.
Hi Lingqi. Yes, my assignment includes all 3 articles. I separated them by article name. I am trying to figure out how to add additional reference material without messing up the current content's references. I like your idea of including a separate section for the original articles; I think I will do the same. Thanks! Adrianeu (talk) 23:32, 20 October 2012 (UTC)

DYK for Microsoft v. AT&T
[edit]On 18 November 2012, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Microsoft v. AT&T, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that in Microsoft v. AT&T, copying and installing software abroad onto foreign-manufactured computers were not considered as patent infringement under U.S. Patent Law? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Microsoft v. AT&T. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and it will be added to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
