A tag has been placed on Chocolatier 2, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. A tag has been placed on PLATO Web Learning Network requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for web content. The article Glow Artisan has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Wikipedia is not a usage guide.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Nomination of Glow Artisan for deletion

[edit]

A discussion has begun about whether the article Glow Artisan, which you created or to which you contributed, should be deleted. While contributions are welcome, an article may be deleted if it is inconsistent with Wikipedia policies and guidelines for inclusion, explained in the deletion policy.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Glow Artisan until a consensus is reached, and you are welcome to contribute to the discussion.

You may edit the article during the discussion, including to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Terrillja talk 21:50, 25 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Your contributed article, AC and DC

[edit]

Hello, I notice that you recently created a new page, AC and DC. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page - Alternating current. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will to continue helping improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Alternating current - you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think that the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. RJaguar3 | u | t 02:11, 26 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion

[edit]

Hi Wpeaceout, and thanks for your work on speedy deletion tagging. However, I'm a wee bit concerned at some of that work - I've just had to decline two or your speedies: this one was short, but there was enough context to identify the subject and it's a useful stub. This one is more worrisome: it was in no way blank - it had content and, again, is a useful stub. Articles like these should be improved, not deleted. TFOWR 09:56, 11 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Wpeaceout, I have also just declined two of your tags. Eilema caniola is a sourced and scientifically categorized animal (an automatic assertion of notability) and does not qualify for A7 deletion. Beni Mallal is clearly identifiable, and does not qualify for A1 deletion. Before making any further tags, I would like to ask you to reread the criteria for speedy deletion tags at Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion. I am not certain you fully understand the criteria. If you have questions, please feel free to ask. CactusWriter (talk) 20:33, 11 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I've declined your WP:CSD#A1 nomination of the above article because it indeed had enough context. Please ask me if you have any questions. Regards, Airplaneman 02:19, 12 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with this edit to Mind Quiz: Exercise Your Brain. Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! I noticed that you recently added a {{hangon}} template to an article, Mind Quiz: Exercise Your Brain. In order for an administrator to evaluate whether the article should be speedy deleted or not, we request that you provide reasoning, on the article's talk page, for why it should remain. Thank you. — SpikeToronto 06:28, 15 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop removing speedy deletion notices from pages that you have created yourself, as you did with this edit to Mind Quiz: Exercise Your Brain. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing. — SpikeToronto 06:32, 15 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:
Edit summary text box

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field. If you are adding a section, please do not just keep the previous section's header in the Edit summary field – please fill in your new section's name instead. Thank you. — SpikeToronto 04:50, 16 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Single source?

[edit]

What's with {{single source}} on the lunar eclipse list List of 21st century lunar eclipses. There's approximately 3 lunar eclipse catalogs in existence, each one based on the previous one, with some minor corrections, and wider date range. What do you suggest we do to validate the experts? Should we consult the astologers, see if they have any better data!? Tom Ruen (talk) 05:16, 27 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Excessive tags

[edit]

Hi, you added some inappropriate tags to Apocalymene

  • {{stub}} - but it already has a subject-specific stub type, so you are wasting the time of people at WP:WSS (and the stub tag goes at the end, not the beginning, of an article per WP:LAYOUT)
  • {{unref}} - no it wasn't, and you also added {{refimprove}}: the two are incompatible
  • {{multiple}} - not useful, unless you nest the other problems within it
  • {{lead}} - the lead sentence is fine (it's just a pity that there isn't any other text as yet).

Please be more careful when tagging article. Thanks. PamD (talk) 17:00, 27 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:Ranch Rush.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Ranch Rush.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click the "Edit" tab at the top of the page and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 10:05, 3 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Ranch Rush.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 12:26, 6 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Possibly unfree File:Ranch Rush.jpg

[edit]

A file that you uploaded or altered, File:Ranch Rush.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree files because its copyright status is unclear or disputed. If the file's copyright status cannot be verified, it may be deleted. You may find more information on the file description page. You are welcome to add comments to its entry at the discussion if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. --MGA73 (talk) 11:31, 7 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
