Headings and sources
[edit]Hi! Thanks for reaching out to ask about how to add headings while editing an article. If you're using the "visual" editor, see this guide to using the toolbar: Help:Introduction to editing with VisualEditor/2.
However, there's a more important step: if you add new information, like you did in the Colonie Center article, you need to add citations to reliable sources (such as newspaper articles) to enable other editors and readers to verify the information. Every new sentence should have a citation. You can check out this guide to adding references: Help:Introduction to referencing with VisualEditor/1.
Please let me know if you have questions; I'm happy to help. Dreamyshade (talk) 22:29, 28 December 2023 (UTC)
