This "Assembly language" article strongly implies that doing program structures in assembly language requires a special assembler. It would be good to get the article edited to reflect the fact that any macro assembler can be used to get this structured programming. See some of my own work examples in the last 40% of the page at http://wilsonminesco.com/multitask/, particularly the two longer listings. I have an article specifically on the structure macros at http://wilsonminesco.com/StructureMacros/, with further explanation of the macros' inner workings at http://wilsonminesco.com/stacks/pgmstruc.html .

article "MOS Technology 6522" reference
[edit]I am the "Garth Wilson" of reference #2, regarding the shift-register bug. The info came from Synertek's application note AN5, ©1982, page 7. I don't have a practical way to measure the troublesome timing range in nanoseconds, but I have experienced the problem, and solved it in the way I mention in the linked post.

TI MSP430 article dead link
[edit]In the TI MSP430 article, reference 6 to "MSP430 article published in IEEE magazine" (a .pdf file) near the bottom is a dead link.
Also: There ought to be some history on the MSP430. When did it come out?
