[edit]Thanks for your long comment on my talk page. This is a general response because ... well see the last paragraph and its clear why.
I'm sure that if I have made mistakes with removing any links I would be the first to admit it and accept it after it was pointed out to me. So far I have only challenged one reversion of my deletions and did so because there was prime facie evidence of a copyvio. The basis of information inclusion on wikipedia is that the person who wants to include information is responsible for authenticating it and this applies to external links. Inevitably with any decision that no matter how consistant and objective you try to be that there will be some variation in decision making and consistency is sometimes hard to achieve. That's what being human is about.
I'm afraid that I am not going to respond specificially to your complaint because a) its not civil and b) its too long and rambling and its hard to see your specific points are. If you would like to try again politely and with some brevity I would be very happy to respond specifically. --Spartaz 16:52, 20 December 2006 (UTC)
- Sorry I was wrong your comment was not uncivil. --Spartaz 16:57, 20 December 2006 (UTC)
I have reviewed your contributions and I think you are concerned about the following deletions:
Popping http://youtube.com/watch?v=wzOxK4ee4-8 - CopyVio http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-_23DnmjDU4 - CopyVio http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FK0uMwOxOhc - unknown source. Possibly performance and therefore possibly CopyVio http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZjgZOf4O0XA - unknown source. Possibly a hastly deletion. http://youtube.com/watch?v=E49BtjYoauw - CopyVio http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A6PCiwKrtE8 - CopyVio http://www.learning2dance.com/site/?main_page=page&id=11&productId=151 - appears to be a commerical site carrying advertising and doesn't seem very meaningful
Glowsticking Wasn't me
Liquid dancing Both links appear to be posted by the author of the clips and are therefore not copyvios.
The review of YT links has been discussed on the admin noticeboard twice and the actions taken approved. Also see discussions on WP:EL which have informed our decisions as we have gone along.
I hope this helps to explain what we are doing. Spartaz 19:27, 20 December 2006 (UTC)
- look it's not like i want you to remove any more video, but one of those links is clearly not posted by the original author. LPEric is the uploader of one video and not of the other. He is however the dancer in both. but whatever. i'm done w/ contributing to this site administrated by ppl who wish to limit the spread of knowledge.
