Fair use rationale for Image:Gerhard_naeseth.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Gerhard_naeseth.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. The Sunshine Man 17:50, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
- Unfortunately, thats not quite right, why dont you have a look at Template:Non-free media rationale and see its fields of what to add there, that should help you organise what needs to be added. Happy editing! The Sunshine Man 15:07, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
Fair use disputed for Image:Gerhard naeseth.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Gerhard naeseth.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 18:32, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
Speedy deletion of Kevin Muller
[edit]A tag has been placed on Kevin Muller, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia per CSD A7.
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the article and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the page's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. B1atv 16:09, 7 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles that you have created yourself, as you did with Kevin Muller. If you do not believe the article should be deleted, then please place {{hangon}} on the page (please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag) and make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. Please do not re-create speedy deletion templates. Administrators can delete an article even IF an article creator places {{hangon}} on the article if the article meets the criteria for speedy deletion. Recreating deleted articles and removing speedy deletion templates is considered to be vandalism. B1atv 17:40, 7 October 2007 (UTC)
This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
The next time you remove a speedy deletion notice from an article, as you did with Kevin Muller, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. B1atv 17:41, 7 October 2007 (UTC)

AfD nomination of Kevin Muller
[edit]Kevin Muller, an article you created, has been nominated for deletion. We appreciate your contributions. Unreferenced BLPs
[edit]Hello Wogsland! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 3 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 176 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:
- Eugen Merzbacher - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL
- Herwig Schopper - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL
- Robert Aymar - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Not notable
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Mccapra (talk) 03:18, 15 February 2019 (UTC)

Liv Kristin Rønnekleiv moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Liv Kristin Rønnekleiv, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Celestina007 (talk) 13:46, 25 April 2020 (UTC)
The article Severin Eskeland (1977-) has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Celestina007 (talk) 13:50, 25 April 2020 (UTC)

This article met the standard for inclusion in the Norwegian version of Wikipedia, so I'm not sure what the translation is lacking. There are 3 citations. If more are needed, how many more? I've submitted it for review. Wogsland (talk) 06:39, 5 July 2020 (UTC)

Ways to improve Severin Eskeland (director)
[edit]Hello, Wogsland,
Thank you for creating Severin Eskeland (director).
I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

Speedy deletion nomination of Severin Eskeland (disambiguation)
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Severin Eskeland (disambiguation) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G14 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a disambiguation page which either
- disambiguates only one extant Wikipedia page and whose title ends in "(disambiguation)" (i.e., there is a primary topic);
- disambiguates zero extant Wikipedia pages, regardless of its title; or
- is an orphaned redirect with a title ending in "(disambiguation)" that does not target a disambiguation page or page that has a disambiguation-like function.
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time. Please see the disambiguation page guidelines for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.
