Oil shale extraction
Hi, Wim. I am planning to renominate the Oil shale extraction article for FAC. Of course, this article is not ready for renomination yet, but I am planning to concentrate on this in coming months. One problem you mentioned is the length of this article. I have done some trimming, but it still needs some work to be done. - Thank you very much. As about the infobox, I don't think that adapting the Industrial park infobox would be the best solution. However, it seems that there is no infoboxes for industrial processes, so maybe we should create a taylor-made infobox for the shale oil extraction's article? Well, havind an infobox for all those industries and/or industrial processes seems a good idea. There definitely is a need for one. I searched for a wikiproject working on this topic, but failed to find one. Hence my dabbling with some similar ones, to see whether I could find useful fields for a new infobox. You any ideas? Hey there Wimvandorst - I was looking down the list of members at WP:GOCE, and you're listed there as being interested in science and engineering? I was wondering, therefore, if you wouldn't mind giving a thorough copyedit to International Space Station as, even after 3 FACs and 5 PRs (with one ongoing), we're still having considerable difficulty with our prose (as you can see from comments on the current PR page). We're still in a FA push, and would really like to see it pass, as the article content is sound. I took a look at copper(I) chloride, despite my obvious COI, and I think that although it's not bad, it could do with some attention. GOCE Backlog Elimination Drive Wrap-up
| Greetings from the Guild of Copy Editors July 2010 Backlog Elimination Drive. Thanks to all who participated in the drive! Over 100 editors—including Jimbo Wales—signed up this time (nearly triple the participants of the May drive). This benefited the Guild as well as the articles in need of copy editing. You can see from the comparison graphs that we increased the number of completed copyedits substantially. Unfortunately, we were not able to meet our goal of completely wiping out 2008 from the queue. We also were not able to reduce the backlog to less than 6,000 articles. We suspect people were busy with real life summertime things, at least in the northern hemisphere! We were able to remove the months of January, February, March, April, and May from the backlog, and we almost wiped out the month of June. We reduced the backlog by 1,289 articles (17%), so all in all it was a very successful drive, and we will be holding another event soon. We'll come up with some new ideas to try to keep things fresh and interesting. Keep up the good work, everybody!

We have reached the midway point in our backlog elimination drive, so here is an update. Participation report — The November drive has 53 participants at this point. We had 77 participants in the September drive. In July, 95 people signed up for the drive, and in May we had 36. If you are not participating, it is not too late to join! Progress report — The drive is quite successful so far, as we have already almost reached our target of a 10% reduction in the number of articles in the backlog. We are doing very well at keeping our Requests page clear, as those articles count double for word count for this drive. Please keep in mind the possibility of removing other tags when you are finished with an article. If the article no longer needs {{cleanup}}, {{wikify}}, or other similar maintenance tags, please remove them, as this will make the tasks of other WikiProjects easier to complete. Thanks very much for participating in the Drive, and see you at the finish line!

Hi, Wim. I hope you are doing fine. It has been quite a long time since we last time discussed the FAC nomination of the Shale oil extraction article. Since then the article has been stable without any major changes. Therefore I think that this time it will be ready for the nomination. Capitalization of alpha tocopherol
Hi,
In this edit you moved alpha tocopherol to Alpha Tocopherol. I'm curious of the capitalization of "T". I've done a tiny bit of digging and can't find a mention of the capitalization being required. Is it because it's often expressed as the Greek character α, requiring the next letter to be a capital? If that's the case, I would think the MOS would require the page name to be lower case since the page name doesn't use the α. The Scout Association of Hong Kong is the overall Scouting organization in Hong Kong. After the first Scouting initiatives in 1909, the Hong Kong branch of The Boy Scout Association of the United Kingdom started in 1914 by registering the St. Joseph's College Scout Group, and was formally established in July 1915. The Hong Kong branch became an autonomous association and the 111th member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement in 1977. In 2008, the association had 99,591 uniformed members, with approximately 2700 Scout groups in the sections Grasshopper, Cubs, Scouts, Venture and Rover Scouts, making it the largest uniformed youth organisation in Hong Kong. The headquarters at the Hong Kong Scout Centre in Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon, host the administration, headed by the Hong Kong Chief Commissioner. The association runs campsites, including Gilwell Campsite, Tai Tam Scout Centre and Tung Tsz Scout Centre, as well as hostels and Scout Activity Centres. It annually organises the traditional Scout Rally, providing Scout competitions and activities. For specific anniversaries, themed Scout Jamborees have been organised. (more...)
