Note

[edit]

This is not a sockpuppet account, this is merely an account that I have decided to use to make fruitful edits to wikipedia. As far as I am aware I am not circumventing any policy as all my blocks have expired etc. So all I have to say is please don't block me. If you all up all of th efruitful edits that I have made together you get a lot of fruitful edits to the project. I have also tried to help as much as possible when I am not vandalising. Which I have to say should never occurr again as long as I am in control of this account. SPAs are a thing of the past for me. So I plead with every admin with a cursor hanging over the "Block" button to reconsider.

P.S. Don't try to welcome me because I probably know too much about wikipedia.

new leaf

[edit]

It's nice to see a user turning over a new leaf. Although you say you do know wikipedia policy, if you need any kind of help feel free to give me a poke on my user talk page. Ironholds 09:05, 16 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome back

[edit]

Welcome back! Remember to stay calm and civil and there shouldn't be any problems. Pax:Vobiscum (talk) 12:04, 16 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Help

[edit]

{{Helpme|Looking at Kate's tool, where would I find out which one of my edits was deleted?}}

You can't. Only admins can. :( BoL (Talk) 03:04, 21 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Klutzy admins

[edit]

Re Blueboy96's block. That's nothing, wait till you check out infamous admin El "Butterfingers" C's block log.[1] His wacky first self-block, "Sorry for using this as mHello, my name is Alex" is totally out there. And the "I don't recall this being so complicated"—LOL, no, that's kind of obvious. I've even blocked the bastard myself, during one of the brief times he's been at large.[2] That'll teach him to wheel war with himself. (Hello, El C, you know I love you, don't block me, honey! No.. no, don't! Help!) Bishonen | talk 23:37, 21 June 2008 (UTC).[reply]

I've replied on my talk. Bishonen | talk 08:51, 22 June 2008 (UTC).[reply]

Friendly reminder

[edit]

Edit summaries like this one are not acceptable. Other than that you seem to be doing good work... Pax:Vobiscum (talk) 20:21, 21 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on When Giants Walked the Earth: A Biography Of Led Zeppelin requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the article or have a copy emailed to you. Underconstruction tag will help

[edit]

Hey Will, thanks for the note. If you're making a page and are gradually adding to it, just put an {{underconstruction}} tag on the page. Very rarely when people are patrolling new pages do they read the edit summaries, so this is a better way to ensure you have time to add info to an article. Thanks! HELP

[edit]

{{Help|Hey helpers helping the, well, me. After my wikibreak, I lost a lot of my wiki skillz. Say I want to put an internal link to an article called "John Paul Jones" but there are like 5 different blokes named that, and the specific one is John Paul Jones (musician) how do I make it read "John Paul Jones" whilst still directing it to the correct article? Thanks fellas}}

You want to pipe it. So you'd put [[John Paul Jones (musician)|John Paul Jones]] to get what you want. Cheers. //roux   06:24, 18 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
EDIT CONFLICT:Hey Will.M.Thompson. Welcome back! =) That is a very simple thing to do, Take a look at this wikilink [[Half-Life|Random Stuff Completely Unrelated to Half-Life]]. And here's how it looks with the wikiformatting working Random Stuff Completely Unrelated to Half-Life. So basically you use a bar (This: | ) to separate what the link actually says (First half) to what you want it to say (Second half). Cheers! - [Vague] 06:28, 18 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Help, again

[edit]

{{Help|Alright, it seems as if I see myself as a little patroller, which is cool in its self. I just have one question, is someone allowed to blank their own talk page if it has warnings, information, that type of thing on it? Thanks. Will Thompson (talk) 06:34, 18 January 2009 (UTC)}}[reply]

Yeah, that's fine, because everything is stored in the history anyway. It gets annoying, but it's allowable. Hersfold (t/a/c) 06:37, 18 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Told you so.68.73.203.15 (talk) 17:27, 18 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Show the ropes

[edit]

Sorry I didn't respond to this earlier; I'd meant to but apparently lost track. I'm usually available if you should happen to need help; if there's anything in particular you'd like a refresher on, let me know. Hersfold (t/a/c) 03:35, 19 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Organization

[edit]

I have organized your userboxes for you! Feel free to undo these changes if you do not wish to keep them this way, but this format often makes it easier to keep userboxes under control! =] DylanIloveYou http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:DylanIloveYou/Guest_Book 23:50, 21 January 2009 (UTC)

I got blocked

[edit]

Totally got blocked, again!!

{{helpme|can you like, unblock me?}}

See Wikipedia:Guide to appealing blocks, and when you are ready, place {{unblock|your reason}} below here. Thanks--Res2216firestar 14:07, 30 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
You were blocked because of this. There's no reason to unblock you; either you're someone new who stole the account, or you're the old user but you've decided to be a jerk. DS (talk) 23:42, 1 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Group or band – which one?

[edit]

We are holding a straw poll (in a very friendly way, of course) to decide if The Beatles should be called a group, or a band. You can add your user signature to one or the other by clicking this link, Group or band – which one?. Thanks.--andreasegde (talk) 23:45, 19 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The/the Beatles

[edit]

Yes folks, it's here again. Please look at this link [3] and leave your vote. I thank you.--andreasegde (talk) 08:07, 1 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
