Wall of Denial
[edit]hello, with regards to Wall of Denial:
http://www.midmarchrecords.com/
- Understandable, however All Music Guide has NO listing on them, neither does Amazon. A listing from their record company is NOT notability enough.

I've moved the text of the page to the page User:Billy hentenaar, and place the {{subst:Nn-userfy|Billy Hentenaar}} tag on his talk page. It's a nice way to help the newbies figure it out. - CobaltBlueTony 15:29, 7 July 2006 (UTC)
VNU Global Media
[edit]No worries. It was borderline whether this was a WP:CSD:A7 or not. I think it just squeeked by with an assertion of notability. However its clearly spam and unless rewritten it should be deleted. If they remove the Prod notice I'll take it to AfD, or you should feel free to. Thanks for helping keep Wikipedia an encyclopedia. Gwernol 19:42, 7 July 2006 (UTC)
World Population Day
[edit]I removed your prod tag and got rid of the blatent spam that justified it. I turned the article into a stub. Maybe someday it will grow into something actually borderline useful. Worth a shot. Dipics 15:36, 12 July 2006 (UTC)

Its only because I've read a couple of the books that this comes from that I recognize it and that's only because the author, Daniel Handley lives in San Francisco near where I used to live. I can absolutely see why you read it as nonsense. A classic example of the need for context. I've added a little and will do some more cleanup on the article. Best, Gwernol 20:16, 12 July 2006 (UTC)

Hello Wild thing, on July 7 you opened an afD for this article. The last few days this AfD has fallen victim to trolling (sorry I do not know a better word) or at least exceptional edits (in Wikipedia terms) by the creator of the article. I appreciate if you can take a look. Best regards, gidonb 14:25, 16 July 2006 (UTC)
Your VandalProof Application
[edit]Dear Wildthing61476,
Thank you for applying for VandalProof! (VP). As you may know, VP is a very powerful program, and in fact with the new 1.2 version release it has even more power. As such we must uphold strict protocols before approving a new applicant. Regretfully, I have chosen to decline your application at this time. The reason for this is that for security reasons, VandalProof's creator requires its users to have made 250 edits to mainspace articles, which you have not (see under main here). Please note it is nothing personal by any means, and we certainly welcome you to apply again in the not too distant future. Thank you for your interest in VandalProof. - Glen 05:07, 18 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit]Sorry, I've just twigged! A note that it's the title that's wrong would be good, as obviously the content is fine. I realise now - same content under loads of different titles... Tyrenius 17:38, 20 July 2006 (UTC)
Db-repost
[edit]Hi,
Just so you know, don't mark something for speedy deletion with a G4 template unless it has been AfD'ed. If it is speedied and reposted, just mark it with the original reason for speedying (in most cases, CSD A7.) G4 is designed only for articles that have been through full deletion process. Thanks for helping with tagging! We need the help! Best wishes, Xoloz 19:06, 20 July 2006 (UTC)

Warning vandals
[edit]Hi Wildthing61476. I wanted to leave you a note to remind you to warn vandals on their talk pages when they vandalize. It makes it easier for an admin to come to a decision on whether or not to block if there are obvious attempts to correct the behavior. Thanks for keeping an eye on new pages! Syrthiss 19:10, 21 July 2006 (UTC)
- Heh not a prob. In most cases, the {{test}} series of templates can be used for most vandalism. There are more specific ones that can be used, but admins seeing tests will know that at least some attempt was made. :) Syrthiss 19:18, 21 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit]you don't even know the creator of that article! that's right, i am! chikinpotato11. City Limits is not fake. I made it myself and i have worked on it hard for over 2 years! If you have a problem than confront me at (I removed this number to protect this user)! Atleast you didn't have something really dear to you just vanish...multuple times!
what's ur problem
[edit]hey Frodo and Bilbo TeaBaggins happen to be very important members of the online gaming community and I believe it is important to share information about them in an article so other gamers can know of their greatness. p.s. eat me n00b.
You Are In Fact Quite Mistaken
[edit]As the title of this section says, you are in fact quite mistaken. If you were a gamer of my caliber you would know that Frodo and Bilbo TBagins are very highly looked upon in the online gaming community as is Testiclese151 whose name spans many different games and genres and who I was planning on writing an article about when I was finished with Bilbo and Frodo TBagins but if unknowledgable people like yourself continue to impede my efforts to inform the gaming community of incredible gamers then I will never make it to Testiclese151, and the online gaming community will never know of his greatness until they meet him in an online battle in which they will get pwned hardcore.
You're Incompetent
[edit]Apparently you didn't read WP:BIO because it very clearly states “This guideline is not Wikipedia policy (and indeed the whole concept of notability is contentious).” Perhaps you should learn how to read before you decide that Bilbo Frodo and Testiclese are unimportant. Also just because they aren't notable according to you doesn't mean they aren't notable according to other, much more important and intelligent people.
curious
[edit]I'm curious as to why you get to decide if an article isn't good enough when there are clearly much better people to decide. And yes I realize that was another “personal attack” but there's no reason to cry, they're just words.
One More Thing
[edit]Honestly I'm not mad that my article got deleted, it was the first time I really tried to do anything with an article so I was just experimenting and yes I realize thats what the sandbox thing is for but the sandbox sucks. Also I just enjoy arguing so once again I'm not mad about the article. Bilbo and Frodo TBagins aren't even really well known and actually aren't that good, Testiclese151, however, is incredible and possibly deserves an article.
Speedy deletion
[edit]I noticed that you tagged the page Apple Juice for speedy deletion with the reason "Article is about a non-notable internet film". However, "Article is about a non-notable internet film" is not currently one of our criteria for speedy deletion, so I have removed the speedy deletion tag. You can use Wikipedia:Articles for deletion if you still want the article to be deleted. Thanks! Stifle (talk) 18:49, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
Removed your prod from Glazed Expressions
[edit]Check out my changes. If you still feel it should be deleted, feel free to replace the prod tag without my objection. BigNate37T·C 19:12, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
What?
[edit]I didn't remove the speedy deletion tags for Lil' Grizzy...that was someone else.
Danny Boon
[edit]Will the article Danny Boon be deleted? I really hope not. He's a notable comedian, because a lot of French people know him. If the article is not to delete I'll keep adding things. loulou 15:11, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
Yes, but when I did a Google search almost all the hits were for a British actor named Danny Boon. loulou 15:15, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
Oh no! I made a horrible mistake: his name is spelled Dany Boon, not Danny Boon. How do I rename the article?! loulou 15:36, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
Okay I put the note. loulou 15:40, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
Dany Boon
[edit]Now I have found his official website, with all of his movie credits. Now he is notable. Sorry for the mistake! :( loulou 15:46, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
Hi, I was browsing Recent changes and noticed you tagged Stalefish for speedy deletion. I have contested that deletion. It seems the original author was not familiar with wiki formatting and had simply made several formating errors. I have since fixed those and have added the {{holdon}} tag to the page. I'm assuming good faith in that this was an honest mistake (I have made numerous myself). Might I suggest slightly closer review of the articles you put up for speedy deletion. Cheers! --omtay38 18:20, 2 August 2006 (UTC)

double standard?
[edit]please explain why the page about spraci is marked as spam when there are similar pages about several other event listings services/websites (eventful, upcoming.org, etc). Surely the same rules should apply to everyone?
- If you feel that way, then by all means nominate those articles. Wildthing61476 16:19, 3 August 2006 (UTC)
I'm not here to make enemies...
I've decided that there are other more valid reasons you may have for wanting to delete it
I am not going to be dishonest and claim to be independant of spraci and without other references as per WP:WEB, your action is understandable.
I can understand that you probably do need independant information in such cases so I apologise if I misunderstood your intentions!
I wasn't trying to be rude either, it's just we get hundreds of websites that try to create articles here, and there are standards that need to be met. Wildthing61476 18:46, 3 August 2006 (UTC)
Response to your message, re: Super Greg
[edit]Yeah, sometimes I get hasty with the SD tags, hoping to catch NN entries quickly instead of waiting for prod to go through. (This is especially true of spam articles, which drive me insane.) Good catch, though. Cheers. -- Merope 20:51, 3 August 2006 (UTC)
I have added info to the article that help establishes notability, and I was hoping you may re-visit the AfD. Please respond at the AfD rather than this talk page, since I am leaving this message for several editors. Thank you! PT (s-s-s-s) 18:36, 4 August 2006 (UTC)

db-advert
[edit]You should be aware that Template:Db-advert has been disabled, since in fact there is no speedy criterion for advertising. The result is that articles with this tag are not in the speedy deletion category and will not be reviewed by any admins. May I suggest that, for any articles you tagged with this, you consider Prod? If they contest the Prod, then you'll need to look at AFD. Looks like there are a fair number, and the tags will just stay there indefinitely, without the article ever getting deleted. Wikiality
[edit]The reason I posted the Lucas Perry article is because I am a member of wikiality.com and we constantly have wikipedians coming in to vandalize our site, so I got sick of it and merely returned the favor. --Real tymer 03:38, 11 August 2006 (UTC)
Thank you. It's just rather frustrating. Wikipedia puritans who think we're the one's constantly fooling with the 'Population' and Penis parts of the Elephant page come in and total our site with vandalism, which makes my editing job alot harder. Wikiality.com is NOT made of the Colbert drones you see running around here. If you hear of any discussing of vandalising Wikiality.com, please discourage it. --Real tymer 03:45, 11 August 2006 (UTC)
Thank you, I will discontinue my vandalism of your own Wikiality. --Real tymer 03:47, 11 August 2006 (UTC)
I still don't like you but I can learn to live just please stop making mean comments like "yea sure whatever" and crap like that cause I am trying to find the link!!!!!!
- I also discourage people from vandalizing wikipedia. I happen to run Wikiality and it was a pain at first with people vandalizing my site, but it has calmed down with the occasional hiccup. A lot of our contributors make their own articles, and I also encourage them, if they use others material, to give credit where its due. --uno

While this article doesn't belong here, I find it's kind of refreshing after hours of tedious new page patrol to find a new editor who, though having created a bad article, doesn't seem like a bad guy. I don't want to frighten him off; I think he has potential. I left a note of encouragement on his talk page. VoiceOfReason 04:49, 24 August 2006 (UTC)

By the way... regarding this, be careful. If you look back in the history, you'll see that this user just blanked the page into a redirect. It should be reverted, not CSD'd. Good job spotting this, though. (|-- UlTiMuS 02:22, 25 August 2006 (UTC)

I saw that you tagged that article for speedy deletion. However, I could not see how it met the CSD, so I replaced the speedy tag with a prod. If you disagree with my assessment, please let me know, and I'll be happy to discuss it. -- Where 02:34, 25 August 2006 (UTC)
Please be careful when you tag things for speedy. Please check the history, because there was a page there. Ryūlóng 18:41, 29 August 2006 (UTC)
When the original author blanks a page that has been speedied or Prod'ed, we can take it as assumption that the author agrees to its deletion. Rather than rv'ing the blanking, tag it as {{db-blanked}} (designed exactly for this purpose) and it can be speedied. Saves us the trouble of waiting out the five days for the Prod. Although I wish it was, "Blatent Advertising" is not a criteria for speedy deletion. It's probably best to PROD such articles, as was done to FurniFind.com. I've been slapped for doing this before and it seemed only fair to warn you. -- IslaySolomon 17:23, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
- Looks like it's time to eat my own words. Since I left the above comment, a new CSD has been created:
- Blatant advertising. Pages which only promote a company, product, group or service and which would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. (CSD G11).

Hey! I always see you on New Page Patrol, but I don't think I've ever said what a good job you do! It's tough work, especially keeping up with the db tags that get removed.
I noticed you left a {{recreated}} tag on Gaz2812's talk page, but that's not the correct tag to use. {{recreated}} is for articles that underwent a deletion review (through WP:AFD). Articles that were previously speedied don't fall under this category; instead, you could use {{test2article-n}}, {{test3article-n}}, etc. Let me know if you have any questions, and keep up the good work! -- Merope Talk 14:57, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
- One more thing: you should also add subst: before any template you use on a talk page. So instead of {{drmspeedy}}, you put {{subst:drmspeedy}}. This permanently substitutes the template onto the person's talk page. You can see WP:SUBST for more information. (This is a tricky thing that I didn't learn for quite a while!) Cheers! -- Merope Talk 15:09, 10 October 2006 (UTC)

I see you left a {{test5}} message on Mgstone's talk page. This is misleading since the user had not been blocked, and you are not an admin, therefore not capable of blocking users, I believe; I assume this was a mistake? hi, i just put up the page for the silver square lofts. my first post was very much a boring sounding block of text but i was just using it as a placeholder. the property is actually very interesting from an architectural and historical standpoint. my intention is to post some original sketches of the property as well as pictures showing some of the more dramatic architectural features. hope this helps. thanks

Takeover Records
[edit]Thanks for watching over new content, but as far as Takeover Records I simply posted a format on their page for that user to use. The user would like to learn to post in Wiki and I simply gave them something of mine to work with and replace text. I found this easier for them to do than to type from a printed copy.
Takeover Records is a true company based out of Philly and far from "nonesense." Their section should take shape over a day or two.

[edit]Thanks for the help with the new page patrols. Please would you also consider leaving notifications on the user talk pages when you tag their articles for deletion. It enables other patrollers to see when a user is on a vandalism spree and it enables administrators to place a block on the user.

ArbCom questions
[edit]Hi. I'm Ral315, editor of the Wikipedia Signpost. We're doing a series on ArbCom candidates, and your response is requested.
- What positions do you hold (adminship, mediation, etc.)?
- Why are you running for the Arbitration Committee?
- Have you been involved in any arbitration cases? In what capacity?
Please respond on my talk page. We'll probably go to press late Monday or early Tuesday (UTC), but late responses will be added as they're submitted. Thanks, Ral315 (talk) 02:00, 27 November 2006 (UTC)
Portfolio for ArbCom
[edit]On Wikipedia:Arbitration Committee Elections December 2006/Summary table, I added a column "Examples" with links that exhibit a candidate's arbitration skills. My motivation is that as a voter, I don't want to just rely on a candidate's words, but also see their actions. Moreover, I believe a portfolio of "model cases" to remember in difficult situations can be useful for each candidate, as well.
So far I have entered examples for the candidates who registered first (from their questions page), and I'm not sure if and when I will get to yours, so you may want to enter an example or two yourself. — Sebastian (talk) 00:02, 4 December 2006 (UTC) (I may not be watching this page anymore. ShiaCode.com Article
[edit]I believe this article is important to advertise not just the ShiaCode.com website as wikipedia have an article for ShiaChat.com - but this article will also include relevant proofs and evidences that will guide mislead people who think they are following Islam, and at the same time, they kill innocent people, commit mass murders and suicide bombings in the name of God. I hope to correct these people by exposing the true teachings of the [Holy Quran] and the [Prophet Mohammad].

I suppose if the "Digicel Rising Stars" could be called a major music competition, I could see this as qualifying. WP:AIV Request
[edit]Thank you for making a report on Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism. Reporting and removing vandalism is vital to the functioning of Wikipedia and all users are encouraged to revert, warn, and report vandalism. However, administrators are generally only able to block users if they have received a recent final warning (one that mentions that the user may be blocked) and they have recently vandalized after that warning was given. The reported user has not yet been blocked because it appears this has not occurred yet. If this user continues to vandalize even after their final warning, please report them to the AIV noticeboard again. Thank you.

don't worry pandashrimp is gone. what is wikipedia any way without articles or information? it's not advertisement, if it is, then what do you call those other articles, it wasn't like it said 'call me' 'buy me' 'come to this address' - the internet is all advertising then. thanks, but no thanks. keep up the bureaucratic screening. google is more useful anyways. i'm sure you're a nice individual, best wishes, cheers.

Wikipedia Steve
[edit]My article wikipedia Steve is being used for a school multi-genre project. It only need to remain there for around 1 to 2 weeks. I have chosen a wikipedia article for my multi-genre project because it would be a good way to project the idea of Steve to my teacher.
While I don't dispute that the article is dreadful, I don't think it's speedy-worthy. There's at least one assertion of notability (20 million users). Take it to AfD with pleasure. --Dweller 14:45, 18 May 2007 (UTC)

- That's always irritating! It's on my watchlist. If it does go to AfD, it can be speedy "repost"ed on sight and if necessary "salted". I do have a hunch there's a notable company there. Happy to be wrong. --Dweller 14:52, 18 May 2007 (UTC)

last warning! i didnt do anything wrong, KATWE (although new) has had a visibly positive affect on society, unlike other groups and people! We are NOT widely known nor do we necisarrily want to be, no we are not using wikipedia as a free web site space, we are merely attempting to make it possible for possible inductees to do a little homework before approaching an underground society that they can't talk about. When someone asks me what KATWE is i tell em "don worryo bout it" because it is a society, was the Knights Templar a widely known group when it started NO! thats what KATWE is it works behind the scenes affecting the lives of people whether they want them to be positively affected or not by changing the finer/more moraly constructive outlooks from "uncool" to "legit" in societies eyes.

I personally think you would make a perfectly good admin. However, I'd suggest withdrawing your RfA now and trying again in a couple of months. Although I don't consider edit summary usage a good reason to oppose, many people do, and I'd also like to see a better answer to the all-important Q1 (it's always better to name specific tasks, e.g. closing XfDs, clearing out CAT:CSD...) [edit]Hey, first of all I'm sorry, I have no idea how to send messages, etc. and I'm probably doing this wrong(I would look in FAQ's, but I need to tell you this quickly), it says the reason that my article on the Brothers of Tortuga is unnecessary because it's about a group, and I do understand that, but in fairness, there are also articles on Skull and Bones, Seven Society, etc. So I assumed it would be okay to write about this. There are no online articles about it, but I can tell you how I know about it through a private email or message..or whatever. Thanks!
Wildthing61476,
I have already read the site's external link policy. I disagree with your statements regarding the encyclopedia article I created to serve as a resource to inform others of a group that offers social and sport options to local Bostonians.
Additionally, I don't feel that a full deletion of the topic was warranted either.
I did not post this entry to serve as an advertisement. It is merely a source of information on a company. Look at any other company on here. Lets use Pepsi as an example. It links people to Pepsi's website. Please tell me the difference.

Redirect of Salem County Vocational And Technical High school
[edit]Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Salem County Vocational And Technical High school, by Mschel, another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Salem County Vocational And Technical High school is a redirect to a non-existent page (CSD R1).
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Salem County Vocational And Technical High school, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. Hi CUREite,
Does it feel very pleasant to claim yourselves as the only organization for Anti Ragging movement ??? (if you really are so)
Deleting other's genuine information will attract the similar response... Newton's 3rd law.
Warm regards.
I Need Help!!
[edit]I am kind of new at this, so I don't know if I am doing this right. I did an article on West Salem, Illinois. I looked at it about a week ago an found someone put A link in the reference section. The west Salem Reader, "All the news that's unfit to print. This is makes West Salem look bad. How do I go about getting it removed? Please, Tell me what to do!! Kevin
My apologies for removing the speedy deletion command. I was expanding the website and thought that I could delete it once I did, because it was no long a short article. This won't happen again Nightfo0l 20:38, 6 June 2007 (UTC)Nightfo0l

[edit]It really isn't any different, its simply just a real thing, and i think its funny. I saw it on Seinfeld last night and looked it up, and was surprised there was no article. Thats my simple answer, if for some unkown reason you think it isn't real than you can delet it, i'm not going to be offended or anything, i'll just think its werid. I see you put a notice on User:Hardworker111's talk page about deleting an article that he created that had previously been deleted... Would the account that made the earlier version of the article happen to be User:Whateverisclever? Because User:Hardworker111 also created The Swoboda Film, which was a recreation of a previously deleted article created by User:Whateverisclever, who happened to show up when I tagged that article for speedy deletion to throw a "hold on" tag up and put an impassioned defense of User:Hardworker111 on that article talk page (which he then deleted) claiming that the two knew each other from editing similar articles and supporting the article because the other guy created it, but not mention he originally created it. Sounds suspiciously like a sockpuppet created to recreate articles under a new name. DreamGuy 21:53, 11 June 2007 (UTC)
- LOL, OK, now User:Hardworker111 left a message on my talk page[2] claiming not to be User:Whateverisclever... except he was logged on as User:Whateverisclever when he did it. Seems like a pretty clear case of sockpuppeting. DreamGuy 22:00, 11 June 2007 (UTC)
Listen Please
[edit]It's not a test, and its not an advertisement, its a history, I dont see why you keep deleting the "rock it forum" page
Hi - I added a second speedy delete tag to this page - ordinarily I don't do that (no need) but in this case, the article has now been recreated a few times, so I added {{db-recreated}} so that the admin would see, and perhaps consider salting the article. Just wanted to let you know, since you had already tagged it! - Philippe | Talk 20:23, 12 June 2007 (UTC)

Spam Warning
[edit]You recently removed an entry I made onto Wikipedia relating to the definition of the term Blog Storm, on the basis that it contained an external link. The link I referenced I have no affiliation with, nor have I contributed to, and represents a validation of the description that I contributed.
The term Blog Storm is entirely valid, used increasingly within the PR world, and I would appreciate your comments as to why this step was taken.

[edit]Thank you for your help.
I didn't know how to do it right.
The article should be deleted as a group of boys meeting in a garage do not a band make !
lol
Thanks again.--Caprisa 00:40, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
Re. Question regarding questionable content on User page
[edit]Good question, I couldn't think of an appropriate warning. Anyway I've speedy deleted his user page and blocked him indef as, erm, sexdate-only-account. :-P Thanks for noticing. Keep up the good work! Best regards, Húsönd 02:33, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
Speedy Deletion
[edit]Im a little confused on how to do this. I put the tag on the page, but I thought I had to put it there too. Sorry about that Warrush 19:22, 18 June 2007 (UTC)
how do i test making pages
[edit]where
iwant to make pages not edit them.
Hi; quite right; I would have given an indefblock for vandalism, but Ryanpostlethwaite got there just before me.--Anthony.bradbury"talk" 18:23, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
Would it be more appropriate to redirect it to List of Internet slang phrases? Thanks, --Flamgirlant 18:25, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
80,000 hits on google. Reading the urban dictionary definition, seems to be a (deliberate?) misspelling of "plz" (please).--Flamgirlant 18:36, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
- Yay, someone agrees with me =). But given its history of being deleted, I'm going to notify the admin that just deleted it, and see what he thinks about it.--Flamgirlant 18:41, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
You did vandalism
[edit]Why did you call my comments vandalism? The issue is whether Ryulong is abusive. I don't know of any other admin that blocks so much because they are mad and on a witchhunt. He is the only problem admin that I know. Don't threaten, discuss. How do we solve this problem?137.146.175.112 21:32, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
RfA??
[edit]Are you an administrator hopeful, like your user page says? If so, you should revert your revert on WP:AN/I. Controversial admin actions should be discussed on AN/I! A conspiracy to revert thoughtful comments is bad. Such behavior shows that the person doing it may not be the type of person that is worthy of adminstratorship.137.146.175.112 21:38, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
