[edit]Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Mehrangarh Fort. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. noq (talk) 11:22, 26 December 2013 (UTC)
- Dude, did you actually check the previous links? The pictures link ("http://indiaouting.com/rajasthan/mehrangarh-fort/") actually has a photo of Udaipur Palace being passed off as Mehrangarh Fort! I merely replaced it with a much better, detailed and exhaustive link. It was not at all spammmy! --Wikiaray22 (talk) 18:39, 26 December 2013 (UTC)
- As your sole contributions appear to be adding links to your own website, that looks like spammy behaviour. Removing the above link - as you have now done - is the more appropriate thing to do with inappropriate external links. noq (talk) 20:36, 26 December 2013 (UTC)
- Okay, that seems to have ticked you off. Well, I am a architectural photographer and hobby researcher, and from now on instead of just adding to external links, I will be adding/correcting information with references.--Wikiaray22 (talk) 06:04, 28 December 2013 (UTC)
- Please read WP:OR before adding other references to drive traffic to your website. noq (talk) 12:55, 28 December 2013 (UTC)
