Welcome!

Hello, Wikianki, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as SAF 2205, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines, and may soon be deleted.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on this page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Questions or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Hasteur (talk) 14:53, 21 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sandvik

[edit]

Hello, Wikianki. It looks like all of your contributions to Wikipedia have been about Sandvik, and they mostly sound like they're directly from Sandvik sources. There are several problems here:

  • Our WP:Verifiability policy requires that all information be checkable. To do this, information should have in-line citations. It is not enough to refer the whole article to two sources.
  • Our WP:Independent sources policy requires the use of sources that are independent of the subject, so not Sandvik press releases, annual reports, and so on.
  • Our WP:Conflict of interest policy strongly discourages editing of articles with which you have a professional, financial, or personal relationship. If you are indeed affiliated with Sandvik, you need to disclose that affiliation, and preferably not edit the article yourself, but instead suggest edits on the article's Talk page.

Sandvik is a very important company, and Wikipedia coverage of it should be to the highest standards. --Macrakis (talk) 13:55, 30 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Standard notice

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Wikianki. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Sandvik, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. --Macrakis (talk) 17:11, 30 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
