Hi, I saw you removed the image on Lacoste, what self promotion are you talking about? I'm just showing some current lacoste products. --larsinio (poke)(prod) 18:40, 9 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The image is not a good representation of the company.

There is a lacoste store near me, I will take a picture of that and add it ot the article. --larsinio (poke)(prod) 18:58, 9 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

mostbeautifulman.com

[edit]

The reason I removed the hyperlinks to mostbeautifulman.com, many of the links were indeed vanity links, where they did not provide any significant information more than what was already in the article. I'm not sure which pages actually contain information from mostbeautifulman.com, I do apologize for doing a blanket removal of links. That said, "External links" section is generally used for links to official websites or IMDB profiles and officially sanctioned websites. For citations, you should use Template:Cite_web for inline citations so it's obvious it's a source and not just a link.

Sorry about the mistake and thanks.Ytny 17:40, 8 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you.--Abu badali (talk) 13:31, 2 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
