Puente in High School
In several cases, it is within high school that students are informed about the Puente program. Not only does it both help and benefit students who are in community college but high schoolers as well. In high school, students are introduced to the Puente program and are led throughout all four years by their advisors. The advisors' job is to guide their students to success in hopes to enroll into college. Puente's goal is not only to guide their students but to create a support system as well--a "familia."
Everyone and anyone is welcome.
When a student decides to sign up for Puente, they will have benefits such as working closely with the Puente counselor, have academic support from their professionally trained embeded tutors and teachers within Puente, students will also have the support of the other students who are also enrolled with Puente. To add on to this, counselors work closely with students to make sure that they don't fall behind and take every opportunity that is presented to them. They have experience and they know what's best for every student.

As for now, I have only included a few brief benefits to Puente in High School. I am planning on finding more sources to help the audience get a more in depth feel on what Puente is like in High School. As a group, we are still looking for more sources to use. I want this page to help people who don't know what Puente is like in high school. I never was in Puente when I was in high school but I had heard about it. I want to write this to my lost high school self, the younger version of me who was curious to know what it was all about. I'm treating this the same, I want to educate and inform others what the program is all about.
