Hello @Peaceray,
May I ask what the most important factors are regarding the provenance of sources used as citations?
Is it good practice to use multiple cited sources for a statement? Such as: He played basketball for major teams in Canada.[1][2]
Thanks,

Thank you for your kind welcome @Peaceray, I aim to be as useful as possible to the Wikipedia community so the 'Things to do' section is especially useful. Thanks, WikiArticleCheck (talk) 19:27, 22 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Well, there is much to do, so I would pick thing(s) that interest, inspire, & sustain you.
Looking at your contributions, I have noticed that you may have some interest in Geography. You may wish to check WikiProject Geography or search for some WikiProject or task force related to Geography (see this search).
I also see that you had a question at the Village Pump regarding quotations & citations. There is much to learn about citations. I would look at citation templates if you are using wikitext & if the Visual Editor instructions on adding or changing references if you are using that. For quotes, you might want to check out our Manual of Style section on quotations & our {{Quotation templates}}.
I consider myself to be something of a WikiGnome. My activities often revolve around anti-vandalism, welcoming newly registered users, improving citations (near & dear to my heart as a former reference librarian), correcting formatting, & the occasional translation of articles from other language Wikipedias. I also edit on Wikidata & Wikimedia Commons.
So in that Things to do section, I would advise you to look at the Task Center, Join a WikiProject, Maintenance, Copy editing, & Vandalism. I would also ask that you pay attention to adding & improving citations. Peaceray (talk) 21:39, 4 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi WikiArticleCheck. Just to let you know I've re-instated the reference byou removed with this edit. When a reference has errors they should be corrected, never removed. - LCU ActivelyDisinterested transmissions °co-ords° 11:25, 5 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much for this - makes complete sense. I will have a go at fixing the citation when I get chance. WikiArticleCheck (talk) 20:26, 5 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
If you ever have any questions feel free to drop a note on my talk page. - LCU ActivelyDisinterested transmissions °co-ords° 00:27, 7 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
