Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Driver name spelling corrections
[edit]Hi Wiki13565. Good work on fixing the spelling of all those driver names - I was amazed to see how many wrong ones there were! Regards. DH85868993 (talk) 08:07, 29 March 2016 (UTC)
Strange unexplained changes
[edit]Hello. I wonder why you keep changing the title of one of several publications in the article on Desmond Shawe-Taylor? The ulc format is now internally inconsistent within the article. I'd be much obliged if you would change it back to match the rest of the text. Verb sap: it is considered good form to explain in an edit summary any changes you make - helpful to other editors as well as good manners. Regards. Tim riley talk 17:49, 27 April 2016 (UTC)

[edit]Google Code-In 2019 is coming - please mentor some documentation tasks!
[edit]Hello,
Google Code-In, Google-organized contest in which the Wikimedia Foundation participates, starts in a few weeks. This contest is about taking high school students into the world of opensource. I'm sending you this message because you recently edited a documentation page at the English Wikipedia.
I would like to ask you to take part in Google Code-In as a mentor. That would mean to prepare at least one task (it can be documentation related, or something else - the other categories are Code, Design, Quality Assurance and Outreach) for the participants, and help the student to complete it. Please sign up at the contest page and send us your Google account address to google-code-in-admins@lists.wikimedia.org, so we can invite you in!
From my own experience, Google Code-In can be fun, you can make several new friends, attract new people to your wiki and make them part of your community.
If you have any questions, please let us know at google-code-in-admins@lists.wikimedia.org.
Thank you!

Disambiguation link notification for September 20
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of divided cities, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Laufenburg. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

National varieties of English
[edit]Hello. In a recent edit to the page Higgs boson, you changed one or more words or styles from one national variety of English to another. Because Wikipedia has readers from all over the world, our policy is to respect national varieties of English in Wikipedia articles.
For a subject exclusively related to the United Kingdom (for example, a famous British person), use British English. For something related to the United States in the same way, use American English. For something related to another English-speaking country, such as Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, India, or Pakistan use the variety of English used there. For an international topic, use the form of English that the original author of the article used.
In view of that, please don't change articles from one version of English to another, even if you don't normally use the version in which the article is written. Respect other people's versions of English. They, in turn, should respect yours. Other general guidelines on how Wikipedia articles are written can be found in the Manual of Style. If you have any questions about this, you can ask me on my talk page or visit the help desk. Thank you. –LaundryPizza03 (dc̄) 16:04, 17 May 2021 (UTC)
Participation in a research study of Wikipedians
[edit]Hi Wiki13565,
My name is Lara Yang, and I am a PhD student in Organizational Behavior at Stanford University. As a part of a research study to better understand work dynamics on Wikipedia, our research team is currently conducting interviews with Wikipedians. Because you are an active editor on Wikipedia, we would love to learn more about your work and hear your perspective on how Wikipedia, and open-source communities in general, function to produce and organize high-quality knowledge. We have done our best to learn about the dynamics of collaboration on Wikipedia from secondary sources, which we are hoping to complement with your invaluable first-hand insights.
The interview will take around 45 minutes and be semi-structured in format. Any identifying information in your responses will be kept strictly confidential, and will not be disclosed in the analysis nor the research paper. If you are interested in participating, please email us via the 'Email this user' tool on my user page and suggest a few time slots in the upcoming weeks that work best for you. We will do our best to accommodate your schedule. Should you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to let us know. We look forward to hearing from you.
Best, Lara aka Wanderingpotato (talk) 18:30, 16 November 2021 (UTC)

- OK - I see what you've done now. You've made the brackets identical to the one on snooker.org, but the way it was I had all the seeds above the non-seeds, which I think was better. It makes little difference anyway so why bother? Alan (talk) 12:41, 18 October 2023 (UTC)
