Contested deletion

[edit]

This page is not unambiguously promotional, because... (your reason here) --Wikblow (talk) 11:40, 28 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I am new user to post article here that's why i tried to link the article many times using brackets its not a promotional or advertising material its a submission of a Pvt Ltd company of web development in the web design category as other sites are. more over i am not able to post the reference links that how to post like i have a reference link of SECP registration of company how can i use it in reference area?

I see that User:Passengerpigeon has removed the speedy deletion nomination from your draft article on the ground that the promotional material has been toned down. I want to call your attention, however, to the fact that the page is still too promotional:
  • It contains “peacock terms” like “dedicated” and “inimitable”.
  • The “Vision” and “Mission” sections have got to go. They present the company’s view of itself, whereas an acceptable article presents a neutral world’s view of the company.
  • I notice that you claim to be the copyright owner of the Kode Flow logo. If you are, that indicates that you are not neutral enough to be writing about the company, Please read Wikipedia:Conflict of interest.

Thank you for the reply and help i have removed those words which you pointed as peacock terms also removed the logo file but want to know how can i put the reference links as mentioned before and how can i submit the logo in it please guide — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wikblow (talkcontribs) 01:27, 29 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Answering your questions one by one (maybe not all today):
  • See how I inserted a ref for the registration. The ref goes in the text where you want the footnote number to go. The footnote automatically appears where the {{reflist}} occurs in a later section. Notice how I used the {{cite web}} template to format the footnote.
  • I also changed the spelling of one of your categories to match the spelling of the existing category. (Apparently no Pakistan category exists.) —teb728 t c 08:43, 29 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Now that you have got rid of the promotional problem, turn your attention to notability. Lack of notability is the leading cause of articles being deleted. I am concerned that Kode Flow may not be notable enough. Read Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies) to see what we are looking for. You need to show significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the company. If you can do that, you can practice adding refs. If you can't find significant coverage in independent reliable sources, the article is doomed. The registration ref is not significant coverage; it shows the company exists--not that it is notable. References to company pages are not independent; so they do not show notability. —teb728 t c 09:14, 29 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Assuming that Kode Flow does not want to allow anyone to reuse it for anything including commercial use, the logo will be uploaded as “non-free” file. Uploading it is both complicated and simple. One complication is that a non-free file can be used only in Article space. Your draft is in User space not Article space; so don’t do what follows unless and until you are ready make the article live (having demonstrated notability). Another complication is that a non-free file must have a non-free- tag (like {{non-free logo}}) and a non-free use rationale (like {{non-free use rationale logo}}). [The use of one logo in the infobox to identify the subject of an article is well accepted; the requirements for other non-free file use can be rather Byzantine.]
You need to upload non-free files to Wikipedia—not Commons (where you initially uploaded it). I have never used it, I understand the Wikipedia:File Upload Wizard is the way to go for new users. It steps you through an upload dialog (which I can’t use right now because I don’t have anything I want to upload). The important things to remember are: your file is non-free; it is a logo; and you want to use it for the infobox of your article’s name in Article space. —teb728 t c 00:40, 30 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
