You have been accused of sockpuppetry. Please refer to Wikipedia:Suspected sock puppets/White Tyson for evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with notes for the suspect before editing the evidence page. Bmg916Speak 00:12, 10 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There is enough evidence that I blocked User:Hippiodude as a sock. As you are a new user, I'm advising you to not further engage in sock puppetry. RlevseTalk 14:39, 10 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What evidence? I admit it myself so what? If you wanted to know you just had to ask.--White Tyson 12:10, 12 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please read WP:SOCK. Sockpuppets are not permitted on Wikipedia. Thank you. Bmg916Speak 12:24, 12 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]
Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:SPvike.JPG. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 19:00, 12 November 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Yamla 19:00, 12 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think i fixed it but that is a long text you wrote and i won´t go through any reading but the image is not licensed if you was wondering that.--White Tyson 19:49, 12 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You are correct, the image is not licensed. That means, unfortunately, that it is not licensed under the GFDL, the license you claimed. Without an explicit release of copyright or an explicit license, we cannot use the image except under fair-use, which does not apply here. --Yamla 20:22, 12 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry i dont understand are you saying it cannot be used here?--White Tyson 14:02, 13 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I explained better now i think.--White Tyson 14:04, 13 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No. You have provided no evidence that the image has been released under the terms, "it can be copied and used on any site by anyone." Please reread WP:IUP and WP:COPYRIGHT. Just distributing an image to a message forum does not mean that the image is not protected by copyright. To be clear, you need to find the person who took this photograph and have them provide an explicit statement. --Yamla 15:59, 13 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That is what i am talking about, it those not come from the forum, the user on that forum took it from a football site of Vikings that does not have any of the images of that game left today and put it on the forum beacuse it could get taken from there and now today that is not left on the site there is nothing to argue about.--White Tyson 18:35, 13 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Just because the user posted it from the site on the forum, does not mean that whoever owns the copyright to that picture released it to be used on any site. It just means a user copied it and posted it on the forum. The actual owner of the copyright would have to explicitly release it for free-use. This is not accomplished by someone taking the photo from one site, and posting it elsewhere. As Yamla said, you would need to contact the person who actually took the photograph and get their explicit permission. Having the image posted on the forum by another user is not the permission. Bmg916Speak 18:45, 13 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No but it shows it can be used by anyone and that is my point.--White Tyson 21:15, 13 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

And nobody can be contacted it is from 2004.--White Tyson 21:16, 13 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The image being posted on a forum does not show it can be used by anyone, that is mine and Yamla's point. Only the author giving explicit permission for its use shows it can be used by anyone. Unfortunately if the author of the image cannot be contacted and permission from the author given, then the image cannot be used on Wikipedia. Please read Wikipedia's image use policy and WP:COPYRIGHT for more information. Thank you. Bmg916Speak 21:51, 13 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please refrain from changing the license back to GFDL unless you can provide explicit evidence that the copyright holder has licensed the image accordingly. As repeatedly noted, posting an image on a forum does not license the image for redistribution, nor does it release copyrights. --Yamla 22:12, 13 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No but it proves it those not need to man get my point.--White Tyson 10:36, 14 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Linking to YouTube

[edit]

Please read WP:FANSITE#Restrictions on linking about linking to YouTube. Most of those videos violate the copyright laws. Thanks - --DreamsAreMadeOf 19:25, 13 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
