[edit]
Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because it has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia. Also, your username gives the impression that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

If you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization, you may request unblock and a username change. In your reasons, you must follow all these steps:

  1. Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement; and
  2. Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked; and
  3. Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked; and
  4. Provide a new username.

To do this, insert the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked.

Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken and in use by another account. You can search to see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is still available.

Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Just Step Sideways from this world ..... today 20:27, 3 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

What is your association with White Mountain Films/its people? 331dot (talk) 08:05, 4 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I know them well - the owner of t\he company passed away in 2021; they don't produce films anymore (are not active). White Mountain Films (talk) 19:42, 4 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Are there any topics you want to edit about for which you have no conflict of interest? 331dot (talk) 08:37, 5 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yes certainly, I want to write about films, entertainment, literature etc.. I don't have any conflict in interest in writing about the books of author Caroline Alexander. I know her work, I've read most of it. If she is not allowed to write about her own work (to avoid conflict of interest / self promotion) then who is to write about her work other than readers or people who may know information about the books? How else do legitimate entries get created? White Mountain Films (talk) 21:14, 6 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Legitimate entries are created by interested editors, but the tone you used was too promotional. You want to use bland, boring language with citations to reliable sources. This is to comply with two of our most important policies – verifiability and neutral point of view. Can you confirm you will do so? Thanks, HouseBlaster (talk • he/they) 01:05, 29 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Can you please respond to this, Reedsville1896.Archivist? We need an answer before we can unblock you. Elli (talk | contribs) 06:06, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

There are close variations of your proposed new username which prevent me from carrying out the rename(Special:CentralAuth will show if a name is taken, but not close variations). Please propose something else(you can just edit your request to remove your first choice and add a new one). 331dot (talk) 10:39, 14 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@331dot: it appears that this user has added a request to be renamed to Reedsville1896.Archivist. Would you be able to take care of that? Thanks, HouseBlaster (talk • he/they) 00:35, 28 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The rename has now been done. But you still need to respond to Elli's question above. * Pppery * it has begun... 17:32, 9 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
