Protected pages
[edit]Anyone should be able to edit a page that is the frequent target of vandalism unless that page is protected. Regarding editing protected pages, well, it depends on what kind of protection is in place. Some of those pages are semi-protected, and anyone that has been registered with their user name for more than 4 days will be able to edit them (anonymous users [IPs] cannot edit them at all). Others are fully protected, meaning that no one except administrators can edit them. So you should be able to edit semi-protected pages at this point, but not fully protected pages. Typically, articles that are frequent targets of vandalism are merely semi-protected, not fully protected. If you're having trouble editing a specific article, let me know or post a message on that article's talk page. · j e r s y k o talk · 01:49, 24 November 2006 (UTC)

You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
