Newisys has separately been tagged for possible deletion and copyright violation. It may be deleted if no one objects after five days because it did not appear encyclopedic, see WP:NOT. If it survives this process, it may be deleted as a copyright violation. You cannot copy material from websites if you're not the one who wrote it in the first place. Your contributions should be written in your own words.

If you have any questions, please let me know on my talk page. NickelShoe 04:52, 23 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. Had a little trouble finding you...please remember to sign your posts on talk pages by typing ~~~~, which leaves a link to your user page and a date stamp.
I actually didn't delete the article in question. I just saw it was up for deletion, and thought I'd let you know about it. No, you can't violate your father's copyright either. If he wants to release it under the terms of Wikipedia licensing, he can, but I'm not an expert on that procedure. But, you'll see from the deletion log [1] that the copyright issue was not the actual reason for deletion. It was considered "bio vanity" and no one objected to the deletion during the five day span. I don't remember this particular article (remember, I wasn't the one who put it up for deletion), but as far as "bio vanity", you might look to WP:BIO and WP:VAIN for some guidelines, and WP:CORP if Newisys is a company.
If you think the subject meets these guidelines, you can write the article again, because deletion thru WP:PROD is not definitive, since it doesn't require consensus, but instead the lack of objections.
Sorry if that wasn't helpful. Hit me back if you want more clarification. NickelShoe (Talk) 03:43, 27 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I regret to inform you that your entry for Garrett Duran has been flagged for speedy deletion under the WP:CSD A7. However, I do wish to point out that you are encouraged to add this kind of content to your User Page. Thank you and have a nice day. - Dalamori

Lake Travis High School 3A Computer Science 1 Pre-AP Class 2007-08

[edit]

The article Lake Travis High School 3A Computer Science 1 Pre-AP Class 2007-08 has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article seemed to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the notability of the subject may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki (talk) 18:43, 20 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Whester! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. Please note that all biographies of living persons must be sourced. If you were to add reliable, secondary sources to this article, it would greatly help us with the current 388 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Phillip Doyce Hester - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

License tagging for File:Phil Hester.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Phil Hester.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 07:06, 10 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
