Single line sorting for wikEd

Hi! I changed a few items but I struggle to find a lot to change. If you saw firestop presentations by trade associations, the insulators or manufacturers, you would pretty much see what is in there with the exception that some folks push specific brands because that's how they make a living. There has historically been so much BS in that business that people who are cutting corners, as in trading money for safety to the extent they can get away with, refer to all sorts of things as firestops. It's a multi-pronged deal because for ages, nothing was done. They'd just push some dirt towards holes and call that good enough. Get a load of this place as one example. A large, confusing complex that it takes a while to find you way around in. No sprinklers. The fire separations are all perforated - but you can't see it unless you start lifting ceiling tiles or if they let you in the basement, where your jaw would drop for sure. It's very political especially in that town. But that's one place of many. The deficiencies that you see there allow deductions about the design team as well as the Authority Having Jurisdiction. I'd be surprised if you saw stuff like that in Sweden (having been there once). I've never seen such bad violations in Netherlands or Germany for example. But you'll see it in Yemen, Uganda and North America. This defines specifically what is and what is not a firestop and why. You will also see that the manufacturer's trade association points to this. And this is not some all-powerful, mighty group like say the pharmaceutical industry. Firestoppers had a hard time making a living at this for the longest time because powerful status quo forces kept them at bay to keep building costs low and to attempt to avoid the airing of laundry as dirty as that of this college. So defining exactly what is and what is not a firestop is a useful exercise because to this day, these folks would have you believe that all the old half measures are A OK. It's not exactly an election issue unfortunately, especially in North America, but you would not want to be the one explaining such a status quo to a widow of a fire casualty. I don't take aim at anyone in particular in the article, but I provide sound evidence and images that make the issues crystal clear. Because of the low status quo in North America (though certainly not in all municipalities - there are wonderful exceptions for sure), a definition is best to include what the item being defined is and what it is not.
