Ghana-India Kofi Annan Centre for Excellence in ICT

[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We appreciate your contributions to the Ghana-India Kofi Annan Centre for Excellence in ICT article, but we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. Perhaps you would like to rewrite the article in your own words. For more information, take a look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Happy editing!

Also, please do not create multiple copies of the same article. If you want to have the same article appear under several names, you should use redirection. Thanks, FreplySpang (talk) 14:43, 6 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, I (mistakenly) thought some other people had also left notes for you. Thank you for your enthusiasm for Wikipedia! I can remove the "copyvio" notification from Ghana-India Kofi Annan Centre for Excellence in ICT if you provide me an email address where I can confirm the material's release under the GFDL. However, I must note that the article is not written in the style of an encyclopedia article, and it requires a rewrite to come up to Wikipedia standards. The article should not be written from the point of view of AITI-KACE, so phrases like "our mission" should be changed. Also, Wikipedia articles are neutral and descriptive, not promotional, so phrases like "the meeting place of choice" also need to be removed. If there are published sources that have written about AITI-KACE, that would be extremely helpful to the article. Thanks, FreplySpang (talk) 16:17, 8 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

P.S. Please note that I have not been involved in tagging any of your other articles for attention or deletion. FreplySpang (talk) 16:19, 8 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Apologies - I now see the permission letter on the article's talk page. If you get a positive response and add it to the talk page, we can remove the copyvio notice. But, please think about the issues of neutrality and promotion that I've mentioned above. Thanks, FreplySpang (talk) 16:22, 8 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the feedback. I am unable to edit the page to incorporate your suggestions until the copyvio is lifted. I will do so as soon as possible.

Black Star Square

[edit]

Hi, I deleted the article Black Star Square because it had no content in it, just the photo you took. Please read How to develop an article and look at other articles on structures and buildings if you want an idea on how an article should like. It doesn't have to be perfect or very long, but there should be some basic information on what and where Black Star Square is. Andrew Levine 16:35, 6 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Black Star Square

[edit]

There was definitely interest in the subject of the article. The reason it was deleted was that there was no text accompaning the photo. There needed to be at least the beginnings of an article, even if only one or two sentences of text. Andrew Levine 22:29, 21 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Semapedia in Ghana

[edit]

A {{prod}} template has been added to the article Semapedia in Ghana, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please tag it with {{db-author}}. Beta34 04:21, 15 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
