Short Squeezes
[edit]I note your edits on short squeezes. I feel I must inform you that your edit, while well intentioned, is incorrect. The progression of price in any instrument is decided in advance. Short squeezes are always deliberately induced: the intent is to cause the herd to liquidate their positions. A short squeeze does not occur by accident, or for other reasons. It does not occur where there are no shorts to be squeezed.
I would wish to revert your edit to the prior version. Saying "a short squeeze can be deliberately induced" suggests that there are circumstances where a squeeze is not intentional. This is not the case. Please provide examples of how a short squeeze would start were it not intentional.
Would you object to my reverting your edit? Beganlocal (talk) 11:40, 3 September 2009 (UTC)
- I agree with Westmorlandia, per my note on Beganlocal's talk page. Let's take this over to the Short article talk pg pls. --JohnnyB256 (talk) 15:16, 4 September 2009 (UTC)
Hedge fund introduction
[edit]Hello, Westmorlandia. Earlier this year you offered some thoughtful input on the Hedge fund discussion page, and I would like to invite you back to consider a current problem that I have described on the discussion page. The introduction is currently inaccurate and out-of-date and I am seeking consensus to restore an earlier version, that I helped to write and place. I have asked other editors involved then and recently to look at it as well, and I am hoping to find long-term consensus, so your input would be appreciated too. Thank you. --Bryant Park Fifth (talk) 14:01, 31 October 2011 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification
[edit]Hi. When you recently edited Hedge fund, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Open-ended (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hedge fund update
[edit]Hi there Westmorlandia, just wanted to let you know that I had posted a revised draft of the section with a reply on the Hedge fund Talk page yesterday, in case you'd like to review and possibly move it over. Cheers, WWB Too (Talk · COI) 15:58, 8 November 2012 (UTC)
Getting Hedge fund structure right
[edit]Hi Westmorlandia, on Monday of last week I posted a thorough reply to your comments (and others') with another revision of the Hedge fund structure section that I hope answers the outstanding concerns. My reply (see here) is admittedly long, however I'd like to ask if you're willing to look at it again and offer your feedback to this version. Let me know back on that Talk page if you're able. Thanks, WWB Too (Talk · COI) 17:36, 26 November 2012 (UTC)
