Hiya Western Star, and welcome to Wikipedia. Yours appears to be a corporate account, which may lead to a possible conflict of interest. I looked at your edits so far and they don't seem problematic, but there is a policy page that you would probably like to visit: WP:BPCOI. My only suggestion is this: don't delete content without first inviting to a discussion on the relevant talk page. For instance, you deleted the mention of "Zodiac" as an alternate name for the 4700. Why? Is it incorrect? Is it no longer the case? A conversation is always useful, and will add permanence to edits once consensus has been agreed upon.

Also, disclosing your (presumed) relation to Western Star would be great, see the previous link for suggestions of best practice. I like WS trucks and welcome your input to the article (it's very hard to get useful info, aside from basic specifications). If you have any questions about edits, please ping me or contact me on my talk page. I will also keep an eye on this page for any possible questions or comments.  Mr.choppers | ✎  02:10, 11 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Mr.choppers.
Thanks for the note. Western Star Trucks is a client and they asked me to update their page. I just chose that name in case there's ever someone after me that would need to use it. There were a few inaccuracies and some out of date information. For instance, Zodiac was an internal code name for the 4700 model, never an alternate model name. If we need to add that back in, we can. They were worried about confusion. Our goal is to be accurate. They were also hoping to add some current photos of the models, but I'm honestly confused how to do that.
Thanks,

Hi, thanks for the response. I moved it here to your talk page so as to keep everything in one place, as I reckon other editors may be interested in this as well. If you are worried about me missing a response, simply use this code: '''{{ping|Mr.choppers}}''', or whatever user you would like to notify. Other things worth noting is the need for sources, as uncited material may get deleted. Also, if you sign with four tildes ("~~~~") then your signature will be automatically applied at the end of your talk page comments. Indenting is done with a colon; this goes in stacks so as to make responses easier to follow.
I want you to feel welcome, apologies if I seem bossy! These talk page details will make others happy and makes conversations easier to follow. As for photos, I myself upload a number of photographs to the Wikimedia Commons. To upload a photo, the copyright owner must relinquish all rights excepting the right of being credited by name. It's therefore rarely worth it for corporations to upload their own photos, as they seem notoriously stingy with copyrights. The photos on this page are already available for free use (I took three); simply copy their filenames into the main space. If you have free photos to upload, simply go to the Commons - you can create an account with the same name. Feel free to contact me again if you do, I could assist if any copyright concerns should arise. If there somewhere near NYC that I could photograph some of them I could possibly assist as well.
The biggest way I learned was by looking at others' contributions and copying their tricks and secrets. I will restore a re-worded mention of the "Zodiac" code name, thanks for the clarification. Cheers,  Mr.choppers | ✎  21:39, 11 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
