Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Mow Pang Tzu, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Communist China, Drew Pearson and White Terror. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Mow Pang Tzu

[edit]

First off, great start with the article! Very well-referenced; I can tell you put a lot of time into it. You only have to thank once really, I got 4 notifications and wondered which article I ruined haha. About the edit you reverted, my intention was that the template had the Chinese link in parentheses (zh) so it was more clear to users that it was an article in a different language, but I realize linking a Chinese name indicates the same so no biggie.

Also, for the image in the infobox, I downloaded the full resolution video and took a better screenshot that I cropped the same, but i noticed that you scaled the image horizontally. Is the original video stretched or should I just upload the non-scaled version? Opencooper (talk) 19:16, 5 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

RESPONSE: Thanks for your comments and help to improve the article. Indeed, it appears that the original video is stretched as all faces look somewhat squeezed. That's why I stretched it a little. The photo you uploaded looks good. Again - thanks a lot.

I just uploaded it now so do look again. I used the original coloring because making it lighter seems to show the film impurities and the contrast is good enough already. Opencooper (talk) 19:45, 5 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I prefer the early version. The histogram equalization brings out more details of Mow's face and it looks cleaner to me. But I do not have particularly strong feelings either way. WeiZhangWang 20:58, 5 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm, leveling it makes the background turn very blocky because of the original video's compression (so I ended up making it a solid color), and his face is always obscured by the hats' shadow, so there's a limit to editing it without ruining the image.
