Sexist language
[edit]Hello WebsterRiver. Contributions to remove sexist language from Wikipedia are very welcome. However, if someone is considered to be the founder of something (...), she is called "mother of ..." if she is female, and he is called "father of ..." if he is male. That is just common linguistics. Changing that to "parent of ..." is rather odd, and does not solve real sexist language problems. Best regards, Crowsnest (talk) 20:34, 20 September 2008 (UTC)
