A tag has been placed on Patrick Bordeleau, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing no content to the reader. Please note that external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article don't count as content. Moreover, please add more verifiable sources, not only 3rd party sources. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. —C.Fred (talk) 02:58, 1 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Bordeleau

[edit]

I've done the translation for you already. It's at User:Kudpung/Bordeleau (draft). Check it out. Add an infobox. Copy it and paste it to mainspace when you are ready.--Kudpung (talk) 15:35, 6 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'm glad it worked out for you. I know my translation wasn't perfect, but I don't know much about sport. I have aded just one word to your thankyou note, because it looked if I had written the French article. The only thing you still need to do is to add the attribution template for the use of the French Wikipedia article to the article talk page. The instructions for doing that are also at WP:TRANSLATION. Happy editing! --Kudpung (talk) 23:58, 6 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Tulsa Oilers Roster

[edit]

Hey, I would like to thank you for creating the Tulsa Oilers Roster Template. I mainly edit articles related to the Central Hockey League and it nice to see other editors that are interested in the CHL. --ilamb94 (talk) 21:43, 1 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

No problem, I tried to make it as thorough as possible. There is a lack of information for a lot of the players. I want to try and find out whether some of the players are signed to the Avs, Monsters, or Oilers. I will try and keep it updates as much as possible.Weatherman05071 (talk) 23:41, 1 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Mike Carman has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Minor league hockey player who has not yet established himself to meet notability requirements per WP:NHOCKEY. Wikipedia is not a Crystal Ball.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Dolovis (talk) 03:50, 6 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of Mike Carman for deletion

[edit]

A discussion has begun about whether the article Mike Carman, which you created or to which you contributed, should be deleted. While contributions are welcome, an article may be deleted if it is inconsistent with Wikipedia policies and guidelines for inclusion, explained in the deletion policy.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Mike Carman until a consensus is reached, and you are welcome to contribute to the discussion.

You may edit the article during the discussion, including to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Dolovis (talk) 15:51, 6 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

As a fellow Monsters fan have to say nice work with the pics and hope you continue to contribute..only heads up is that plus/minus stats are generally left out of all players career statistics...other then that all good! Triggerbit (talk) 22:55, 11 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you, I am trying my best each game I go to to get some pics. Is there a reason plus/minus is left out?Weatherman05071 (talk) 20:28, 14 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I would imagine it's because most of the places that offer conveniently consolidated stats for players (e.g. the Internet Hockey Database) don't track plus/minus, so if you want to include it, you have to hunt down the player's stats from all his teams/leagues individually. If there's an official reason I haven't seen it yet, but then again I haven't really gone looking.  Cjmclark  17:52, 7 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

CHL Rosters cont.

[edit]

Thank you for creating the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs roster template. This really helps me out, I added it to the season page for them. Keep up the good work. --ilamb94 (talk) 21:42, 13 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

No problem, I am working my way through the CHL over the next day or two. Weatherman05071 (talk) 22:41, 13 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Team rosters

[edit]

I don't know that there's a standing policy regarding the updating of team rosters at the end of the season. I usually leave them with the last active roster to play (whether regular season or in the playoffs, if they make it in) until they start signing for the new season. I could be missing some guidance somewhere, though.  Cjmclark (Contact) 02:32, 15 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I think they should stay until at least July 1 ( that is the beginning of the NHL's free agent signing.) Raul17 (talk) 14:37, 29 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
With PTOs & ATOs, I would leave them as they are unless the player signed a standard contract. The New York Islanders signed one of the Bridgeport Sound Tigers players to an NHL contract after being an ATO. Most of these players usually sign with another team. Cleaning up roster templates

[edit]

I noticed you did it already with the Lake Erie roster, but if you know or have a good idea that a certain player isn't needed anymore, I'd go ahead and take them out. Just as easy to go back and get the info if it's needed. EricRodgers (talk) 22:31, 30 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The ones that I took out of Lake Erie was mostly ATO's not under contract to the Avalanche (since they may play there next season) and PTO's that were only there for a game or two. As far as other teams in the AHL I am not as sure, but I am sure that you can make an educated guess by doing a little research on the players.Weatherman05071 (talk) 17:34, 1 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I know a couple of ways to replace the other article with your content but both are a bit complicated. Let me know when you've referenced the content properly and are ready to update the mainspace article. I'll make it work. Cheers, Pichpich (talk) 01:41, 2 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
