Featured Articles
[edit]Hi We Are the Spiders. You may want to take a look at Wikipedia:Featured articles to find about FAs and the process that articles need to go through to become featured (and to display the bronze star). Cheers — Matt Eason (Talk • Contribs) 01:12, 19 August 2008 (UTC)
- Since you added the bronze star to the Muse article, I'd like to reinforce the point Bewildebeast makes. Featured Articles are considered the best wikipedia has to offer, being well written and well sourced. The process of promoting an article to FA involves measuring it against the FA criteria and taking it to WP:FAC to see if there is consensus that the article is good enough. If you're interesting in improving articles to this (very high) standard, I'd also recommend taking a look at WP:GA (about Good Articles). As much as I'd like Muse to be a Featured Article, it just isn't up to standard. Happy editing. Nev1 (talk) 00:31, 26 August 2008 (UTC)
- Again, please don't add the FA category to pages that do not belong there. Thedarxide (talk) 14:50, 30 August 2008 (UTC)
- I note you've just done this again, to The Beatles and The White Stripes, neither of which is currently a featured article. I suggest you don't do this again to any article, otherwise it may be construed as disruption and lead to you being blocked. You've been doing this for nearly a month, and should understand by now. In fact, the next one will result in a block. --Rodhullandemu 01:42, 7 September 2008 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Kañon requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. CelesJalee (talk) 20:11, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
Image copyright problem with File:Natalino logo.png
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Natalino logo.png. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
- That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Hi
You removed a {{fact}} tag from the above article without providing a reference to support the uncited claim; please don't do this. Wikipedia is based on verifiability; readers need to be able to look up claims to verify that they are correct. The cited reference for the US charts says that Tonight: Franz Ferdinand hasn't charted in the US yet; this is at odds with the claim recently added - that it is charting at 9. Adding a fact tag is the best short-term way to address this as it highlights to readers the need for an updated reference, and that the current reference does not match the claim.

blog sourced info
[edit]The Chilean chart from blogspot is not an acceptable chart. Please do not add it, or any charts listed at WP:BADCHARTS, to any Wikipedia articles. Thank you.—Kww(talk) 16:10, 14 February 2009 (UTC)
- FROM WEARETHESPIDERS ---> Why?
- Because we have guidelines about what makes a good source for information that basically rule out blogs (see WP:RS), and the blogspot Chilean chart is specifically listed as a bad chart.—Kww(talk) 16:17, 14 February 2009 (UTC)
- FROM WEARETHESPIDERS ---> Why?
As you can see in the blogspot, in the rightside of the blog there is list of sources,
- i quote: "Información de Airplay Radial y OnLine otorgada por IDERE", "Radial and Online Airplay Information brought by" [[1]]
- i quote again: " Certificaciones otorgada a las ventas fisicas + digitales, corresponden a sobre 7,500 oro), sobre 15,000 copias (platino), IFPI Chile", "Certificatios (gold and platinum) brought by IFPI (Federación Internacional de la Industria Fonográfica)".
- then i quote again: down below in the blog, are listed ("Radios & Sources") the main rock & pop radios in Chile, like "Hit 40" (oriented by Pop and Modern Rock), "Futuro FM" (oriented by Mainstream Rock, most 80s and 90s) and "ROCK&POP" (well the name says by itself, oriented much by mainstream rock, but modern rock it's played anyway)
- i don't know how to delete this source from "Wikipedia BAD CHARTS", beacuse i think this is a very "GOOD CHART", i'm chilean and i can say i believe in this chart, due to i listen to radio all the time (i love music).
- well sorry for my english, i'm just laerning it, OK?
- Your English is better than my Spanish. Mi espanol is sufficiente solo para mercado y habla con amigos. The problem is that there are no links on IFPI Chile or IDERE pointing at this chart. If you could show that IFPI or IDERE thought the charts were good, then people might listen.—Kww(talk) 15:26, 16 February 2009 (UTC)
We've been over this ... do not add that Chilean chart. If you do so again, I will begin to treat your edits as vandalism, and that can lead to you being blocked. If you really think it's a good chart, discuss it at WT:Record charts and try to get WP:BADCHARTS changed. Until then, don't add it to any articles.—Kww(talk) 16:44, 18 February 2009 (UTC)
Nomination of For the Movies for deletion
[edit]A discussion is taking place as to whether the article For the Movies is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/For the Movies until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on good quality evidence, and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Calabe1992 (talk) 02:20, 25 September 2011 (UTC)
The article Cristián Natalino has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- No evidence that this person is notable outside of their involvement with Natalino. Would be better suited as part of that article.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Kaldari (talk) 05:04, 11 August 2012 (UTC)

You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
